Vinay Pathak is easily known for tickling our funny bones. His happy-go-lucky characters in films like Bheja Fry series, Chalo Dilli, Dasvidaniya, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and others have always delighted us. But now shifting his gears, Vinay will be seen in an altogether different role. He plays a freedom fighter in Ananth Mahadevan directed biopic Gour Hari Dastaan.
Though it's quite surprising to see Vinay in such a role, Ananth feels this is a very significant film for the actor.
Ananth on choosing Vinay for his film, says, "Vinay always stays true to the subject. He is vulnerable and has great sense of humor. He is very intelligent and has strong persona. I wonder why he is not given enough roles. He is trying and performing best.. Vinay is sorted as comic actor but I think there's more to him which is unexplored. My film...

Besides the film fraternity, filmmaker Ananth Mahadevan wants to take his upcoming biopic Gour Hari Dastaan - The Freedom File to the government as well. He just doesn't want to limit it to movie buffs or the patrons, who are eager to check out the movie. According to him every Indian should watch this film.
Ananth, in fact, is trying his best to showcase it to Pmo and parliamentary MPs.
"There is full government support. We will have big premiere for the parliamentary MPs, other government officials. And I am sure they will take great interest. I hope they declare it as tax free. I have already called up Pmo office and the Bjp core member, Mr. Sunil Deodhar has actually taken it to the higher department and strongly recommended to Narendra Modiji," says the filmmaker

No it's not just another promotional gig. Ananth Mahadevan truly believes that stories like Gour Hari Dastaan should be recognized and celebrated. On the occasion of upcoming Independence Day, the director plans on releasing a national anthem recognizing the heroes who are alive. It seems Vinay Pathak is in a mood to shift gears!
We have seen him in the most whimsical roles (Dasvidaniya, Chalo Dilli, Bheja Fry series, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Mithya and many more) and throwing away some amazing dry humor punches, but of late the actor is treading the path of doing serious and soul shattering roles. Last he was seen in Varun Dhawan starrer Badlapur, a dark unflinching film, where he portrayed the character (Nawaz's partner in crime) with grey shades.
And now for the first time in his acting career Vinay Pathak will be seen in a biographic film. His next Gour Hari Dastaan - The Freedom File would have him playing a deep and intense character. Besides, he is also playing an 80-year old man for the first time on-screen.
Known for his comic timing and witty-humor roles, Vinay is pushing the envelope to challenge...

A campaign on honking by Red Fm which began last month caught our attention whilst changing radio stations. The campaign would have gone unnoticed if not for the catchphrase 'Don't Be Horny', which immediately brought to our mind the video which was uploaded by actress Bhairavi Goswami on youtube, October 21, 2014.
When we called Bhariavi for her reaction, she was not surprised at all. She was amused. "Several of my friends have been messaging and calling me for the past month. Even my lawyer called me asking if I wanted to initiate legal proceedings against Red FM," she said.
Bhairavi is actively involved in several social causes. Apart from animal welfare she also wants to do her part to raise awareness about Global Warming, "It's not only the number one environmental challenge we face today but also the most important issue facing all of humanity. Noise pollution has a massive impact on Global Warming.

Kasme Waade Pyaar Wafa .... This soul stirring song from Manoj Kumar's hit film Upkaar is still relevant as it compels one to ponder at the uncertainty of human relations.
Being a thought-provoking and philosophical number many wonder this song is penned by literary genius like Indeevar or Prem Dhanwan. In fact many websites have credited this song to Indeevar, Prem Dhawan and some have even credited it to Qamar Jalalabadi but the fact is the song is written by Gulshan Bawra.
Besides penning songs Gulshan Bawra even played comedy roles in many films (Including Upkaar) hence due to his comedian image people mistook him as humourist but he had written many wonderful songs like 'Mere Desh Ki Dharti...' (Upkaar), 'Yaari Hai Imaan Mera...' (Zanjeer) and the title track of Agar Tum Na Hote.

New Delhi, April 24: Music-director and composer Anand Raj Anand, who has given hits like "Jalebi bai", "Ganpat", and "Ishq Samandar", makes songs after observing the body language of actors, but admits that if the melody and punch are not right, no one can make a song a hit.
"I observe the body language of the actors and make songs accordingly. I am making songs for everyone," Anand said.
"I have observed Ranbir Kapoor's body language and have made songs for him and for Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan too," he added.
His latest track "Laila" featuring Sunny Leone from the upcoming movie "Shootout At Wadala" has already been.

Starring Sachiin Joshi, Gihani Khan, Vimla Raman, Prakash Raj, Mahesh Manjrekar
Directed by Ankush Bhatt
If Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg were to be merged wuth Anant Velankar in Govind Nihalani’s Ardh Satya we would probably get Abhijeet Patil in Mumbai Mirror.
Patil, played by entrepreneur-actor Sachiin Joshi, is the product of Mumbai’s underbelly. He is a cop. But he could well be on the other side of the law without skipping a beat.
Like Om Puri in Ardh Satya Joshi’s character in its childhood watched his sadistic father beat up his mother. Joshi grows up churlish and somewhat amoral, hating the world for what it allowed his father to do to his mother. He can’t bear to see a woman being hit. Neither can we. But we still have to.
There are seeds of a gripping cops thriller in Mumbai Mirror. Brutal and brisk, the pace is fairly frenetic.

Fashion designer Anand Jon Alexander used to be the toast of New York's fashion scene and a former contestant on "America's Next Top Model". Alexander had some pretty big plans in store for himself, unfortunately, he didn't realize that those plans involved him being behind bars. Alexander was also found guilty of assault against women that he lured. The women came in hope of landing modeling gigs with their ages ranging from 14 to 21. The designer claimed it was all a conspiracy at one point, but a judge at the time of his trial said “You have not convinced me that there’s a conspiracy, all right?
