Today, Blumhouse unveiled a new teaser for Halloween Kills, just a little something to apologize to the fans for them having to wait another full year to see it. Given that we won’t be sitting down to watch the sequel for 12 months, we’ve seen a surprising amount of the movie already, and this promo only offered more. For instance, it revealed our first look at Michael Myers in the film, now worse for wear after his tussle with the Strode women in 2018’s Halloween.
At the 0:24 mark of the video, we get our clearest glimpse of The Shape, and it can be seen that his iconic William Shatner mask is scarred on the left side. This is a result of him being trapped in Laurie’s house, which went up in flames with him inside at the end of the last movie. Laurie’s aim was to...

The first footage from Halloween Kills was unveiled today during Blumfest, a one-day online event focused on new and upcoming movie and TV projects from the Blumhouse production company.
The sequel to 2018’s Halloween, the successful, acclaimed reboot and follow-up to John Carpenter’s original 1978 classic, is bringing back several legacy characters from that movie, with the teaser giving us our first quick glimpses of three of them. Take a look and see if you can spot them!
At approximately :20 in the 36-second trailer, that is Nancy Stephens as Nurse Marion Chambers, who was Dr. Sam Loomis’ assistant in the original Carpenter film and played the role in Halloween II (1981) and Halloween H20 (1998). Although the character died in the latter film, the current Halloween movies pretty much ignore or retcon everything that happened in the sequels, so Marion is back!

Who’s the third most prolific star in the Halloween franchise behind only Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence? It’s Danielle Harris, who’s appeared in four installments of the horror series over the decades. The actress played Jamie Lloyd, daughter of Laurie Strode, in Halloweens 4-5 and then turned up as Annie Brackett in Rob Zombie’s reboot movies. To date, though, she’s yet to return for Blumhouse’s films. But Harris would definitely be up for it if she was asked back.
While speaking to ComicBook.com about the potential for her to return in some shape or form, she opened up about her fondness for the Halloween universe and how it feels like coming home, so of course she’d want to be invited back. Even despite her mixed feelings about the recent relaunch.

This Halloween, Michael Myers is returning to wreak havoc in Haddonfield, Illinois for the umpteenth time. Blumhouse successfully relaunched the slasher franchise back in October 2018, with their take on the Halloween universe being stretched out into a trilogy over the next couple of years. With Halloween Ends arriving in 2021, this year we have Halloween Kills. And we can apparently expect a movie with a huge scale.
Speaking to Too Fab, producer Jason Blum had a few brief words to offer about the sequel, which will see Jamie Lee Curtis coming back once more as Michael’s eternal enemy Laurie Strode.
“Halloween Kills is a very Big movie,” Blum told Too Fab. “The canvas of Halloween Kills is very large.”

For many horror fans, David Gordon Green’s Halloween was one of 2018’s most pleasant surprises, drawing positive reviews from fans and critics alike while raking in more money at the box office than any other slasher movie to date.
Expectations are therefore unusually high for this year’s Halloween Kills, and as we wait for the first proper trailer to drop, Wgtc presents a fan-made video that anticipates the return of Michael Myers and the young Allyson Nelson.
Comprising footage and audio from Michael’s previous big screen outings, the unofficial trailer, viewable above, puts the spotlight on Laurie Strode’s daughter, played once more by Andi Matichak in the upcoming sequel. Naturally, Laurie herself also returns to the fray, with Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role, while the part of Michael is split between James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle.

Yesterday, Jamie Lee Curtis decided to treat (not trick) her fans to their first look at Halloween Kills. The 20-second teaser came as a surprise as filming is still ongoing on Blumhouse’s follow-up to their smash-hit 2018 rebootquel of the franchise. Though it was quite short, the footage gave us some good hints at what’s to come. Including our first look at the return of Tommy Doyle, now played by Anthony Michael Hall.
At the 0:05 mark (see below), you can see a brief shot of Hall filming a scene as Tommy, armed with a baseball bat. It seems that, like his former babysitter Laurie Strode, Tommy is ready to face Michael Myers again.

Actress Kyle Richards recently took to Instagram with a photo providing our first look at the return of Lindsey Wallace in the upcoming Halloween Kills.
Last time Richards assumed the role of the famed Haddonfield resident was in the original 1978 Halloween, where she was one of the children terrorized by Michael Myers on that fateful October night. Since then, the character has been largely absent from the franchise, save for an appearance in Rob Zombie’s 2007 remake where she was played by Jenny Gregg Stewart. Though you might not recognize Richards in this newly shared image, it’s tempting to see the actress’ dark bangs as a callback to the hairstyle sported by Lindsey over forty years ago.

Fans rejoiced when the news broke that we’d be getting not one but two new Halloween movies over the next few years. Halloween Kills will be released in 2020, with Halloween Ends following a year later. They’re building on the foundation created by Halloween (2018), in which director David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride reinvigorated the franchise by positioning it as a sequel to the original 1978 classic. I appreciated the reverence that Green and McBride showed for John Carpenter’s original, and it seems the two sequels are set to do the same.

Will Michael Myers ever really, truly die? Not likely, at least as far as the Halloween franchise is concerned. Thanks to the celebrated reboot of the horror film that stalked into theaters in 2018 and quickly became the highest-grossing installment in the blood-soaked series, Universal announced in July that two sequels are officially on the way.
David Gordon Green and Danny McBride will return to write both of the new films in the rebooted trilogy, with Green on board as director. The first of the pair is titled Halloween Kills and is due out on Oct. 16, 2020, while Halloween Ends will arrive in 2021. As we eagerly await more of Myers and his knife skills, we've gathered the bits of news about the first of the sequels, Halloween Kills, that the studio has graciously shared, ahead.

Another character from the original Halloween is now set to return for the upcoming sequel, as it’s been confirmed that Robert Longstreet has been tapped to play Lonnie Elam in Halloween Kills. The notorious bully from the first film will join fellow Haddonfield natives Tommy Doyle, Lindsey Wallace and Laurie Strode as they try to take out Michael Myers once and for all.
There’d been lots of speculation that Lonnie would return to the series, considering that his son Cameron dated Laurie’s granddaughter Allyson in the 2018 Halloween. The boy seemed to be great at first, too, but ultimately turned out to be just as big of a jerk as his dad. While he was spared from The Shape’s blade in the last flick, it seems likely that both he and his father won’t survive too much longer.
It remains to be seen how fans will...

Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) wasn't the only person to live through the night He came home in John Carpenter's Halloween, as the two children she babysat, Tommy Doyle and Lindsey Wallace, also survived their encounter with Haddonfield's very own boogeyman. Following the reveal that Anthony Michael Hall will play a grown-up Tommy in Halloween Kills, it's now been reported that Kyle Richards will reprise her role as Lindsey in the sequel to 2018's Halloween.
The news of Richards' return as Lindsey comes from HalloweenMovies.com, who shared the following press release details, including a comment from producer Malek Akkad:
No stranger to the genre, Richards previous roles include (in addition to Halloween) the horror flicks Eaten Alive (1976), The Car (1977) and The Watcher in the Woods (1980), although fans of reality TV may more recognize her from her appearances in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, in which she portrays herself.

While plenty of fans are excited about Tommy Doyle returning to the iconic horror franchise for Halloween Kills, some are wondering why A-lister Paul Rudd won’t be reprising his role. The eventual superstar rose to prominence with his part in Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers as the grown-up version of the young boy Laurie Strode babysat in the original Halloween. Since then, he’s gone on to become one of the most bankable actors in Hollywood. It would’ve been nice to see Rudd return to his roots then, but unfortunately, scheduling conflicts prevented him from making his way back to the legendary slasher series.

Following the announcement back in July that the storyline of 2018's Halloween will continue in the sequels Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, it's now been revealed that Anthony Michael Hall will play a grown-up version of an iconic character from 1978's Halloween.
Variety's Justin Kroll reports that Anthony Michael Hall has been cast to play Tommy Doyle in Halloween Kills. As those familiar with the history of Haddonfield know, Tommy, along with Lindsey Wallace, was babysat by Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) on the fateful Halloween night of 1978, when Michael Myers returned to his hometown to kill those unfortunate enough to get within striking distance of his butcher knife and lethal hands. Tommy was a crucial element of John Carpenter's Halloween, viewing Michael Myers as the boogeyman and trying to warn Laurie that someone was lurking in the shadows of Haddonfield long after the trick-or-treaters went inside for the night.

Poor Tommy Doyle will be tormented once again by the boogeyman in Halloween Kills. He'll be played by Anthony Michael Hall.
Little Tommy Doyle told Laurie Strode in 1978's Halloween that "you can't kill the boogeyman," and he was right. Forty years after his original murder spree through Haddonfield, Illinois, Michael Myers returned to finish what he'd started. And in Halloween Kills, he'll get another stab at it and it sounds like it won't end well for the grown up Tommy who will also appear in the highly-anticipated sequel. Variety reports that Anthony Michael Hall (The Dead Zone) will play the role of Tommy decades after he was originally terrorized by the Shape.
Originally played by Brian Andrews, Tommy has been recast more times than Laurie has. Marvel star Paul Rudd played him in 1995's Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers in his first starring role. In that movie,...

Diehard Halloween fans have been hoping that the character of Tommy Doyle would be returning for one or both of the franchise’s upcoming sequels and now, it’s official. Prominent ’80s star Anthony Michael Hall will be portraying a grown-up version of one of the kids that Laurie Strode babysat on that unfortunate holiday when Michael Myers first escaped custody in the upcoming follow-up Halloween Ends.
The 51-year-old actor rose to stardom as a teenager, popping up in coming-of-age classics like Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Weird Science. To avoid being typecast as a geek, he began to branch out in his adolescence by accepting parts in Out of Bounds, Johnny Be Good, Edward Scissorhands and Six Degrees of Separation. Now, he’s taking the plunge into horror by joining one of the genre’s biggest franchises.

When it comes to continuing the legacy of Halloween, the first person one would normally seek out for any sort of sequel would be that of Jamie Lee Curtis. After all, her character, Laurie Strode, is about as synonymous with the series as Michael Myers himself – and she’ll fortunately be coming back for Halloween Kills.
