Jemima Rooper has said that she would love an As If reunion.
The Atlantis actress starred as Nicki Sutton in the Channel 4 comedy-drama, which ran for four series from 2001 to 2004.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Rooper said that she would be open for a one-off special, especially as the show was made by some of her current colleagues.
"It's by the same guys that make Atlantis," she said. "They're so busy now, I don't know.
"We kept saying wouldn't it be brilliant to do a This Life-type 10-years-on thing. I'd love to see them."
As If also starred Paul Chequer, Emily Corrie, Orlando Wells, Caroline Chikezie and Ben Waters, and centred around a group of six young adults, with each episode focusing on a different character's point of view.
Rooper added: "I know one of the actresses [Corrie] is now in the navy, so I don't know whether she would come back!

Emmy-nominated writer Carrie Brownstein is taking her words to the big screen.
The Portlandia co-creator and star has been hired to complete the screenplay for Lost in Austen, first started by Nora Ephron, who died in 2012 after a battle with leukemia. The film, based on the original U.K. television series written by Guy Andrews, tells the modern day story of Brooklynite Amanda, who suddenly finds herself transported to the literary world of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
“Carrie is smart and funny and original, and the project is very lucky to have her,” producer Sam Mendes said in a statement.

Sony Pictures and filmmaker Nora Ephron ("Sleepless in Seattle," "Julie and Julia") are set to team for the remake of the 2008 time-traveling Jane Austen-themed mini-series "Lost in Austen" reports Variety.
The original ITV mini centered on Amanda (Jemima Rooper), an ardent Jane Austen fan, who lives in present day New York with a roommate (Gugu Mbatha-Raw). She soon finds a secret doorway hidden in her bathroom wall that's a portal into the house of the Bennets at the start of "Pride and Prejudice".
Amanda becomes trapped there while Elizabeth Bennet (Gemma Arterton) is stuck in 21st century London. Amanda tries to ensure that the events of the novel progress as they should, but things don't go according to plan.
The mini also starred Elliot Cowan ("Alexander," "Poirot") as Mr. Darcy, Alex Kingston ("Doctor Who," "E.R.") as Mrs. Bennet, Hugh Bonneville ("Downton Abbey," "Iris") as Mr. Bennet and Lindsay Duncan ("Rome,...

Though Hollywood is not in danger of losing its love for period dramas any time soon, there’s often a push these days to give it a bit of a twist. Thank heavens, then, that Nora Ephron and Sony have, of all places, ITV to turn to for a new project. Because the writer/director is now busy adapting 2008 miniseries Lost in Austen for the big screen. The series – written by Guy Andrews – followed Amanda Price (Jemima Rooper), a lifelong Jane Austen fan who finds her mundane London reality suddenly swapping places with her favourite author’s storyline from Pride and Prejudice. After discovering that a small door in her flat leads to Elizabeth Bennet (Gemma Arterton)’s world, the two women trade places, only to find that the switch makes things more complicated for both of them.Naturally, Ephron plans to switch the setting to New York, but with...

Just like Will Shakespeare, Jane Austen has gotten a lot of play by modern media. Just last year, she got a taste of time travel with the UK-based miniseries Lost in Austen. But I guess the story was too much for the small screen because Variety reports that the adaptation is making its way to the big screen -- with Sam Mendes attached to produce.
This latest spin on ol' Jane's works has added time traveling portals to the mix, allowing a modern girl named Amanda to change places with Pride and Prejudice's Elizabeth Bennet. Basically, Amanda wants to be left in peace to read her Austen when her drunken boyfriend messes things up, and out of nowhere Bennet appears in her bathroom (watch the clip here). From there, the girls trade places and the whole Pride and Prejudice world gets some new, more modern, life.

Sam Mendes is to produce a movie based on ITV's regency time-travel drama Lost in Austen. The series followed modern girl Amanda, who swaps places with Pride and Prejudice heroine Elizabeth Bennet. The movie is being developed by Mammoth Screen, producers of the TV series, along with Mendes' Neal Street Productions with a script from orignial writer Guy Andrews. Mendes will not be directing, but the Oscar winner is sure to bring gravitas to the surprising adaptation. The series, starring Jemima Rooper and Alex Kingston, was a massive success for ITV and, should a high-profile cast come together, this could translate similarly to the big screen. Recent forays into the world of Austen have been very profitable including Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley and Becoming Jane, starring Anne Hathaway as the authoress.Casting has yet to begin for this project, but answers on a postcard as to who you...
