Steve Martin and Martin Short were on the road when they heard that their Netflix special, An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life, had been nominated for a slew of Emmys, including Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) and Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special. Filmed at the Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina, earlier this year, the 74-minute show finds two of the ¡Three Amigos! trading insults and sharing memories of their lives and careers, accompanied on the piano by Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s Jeff Babko. The duo are in Vancouver when we speak, getting ready for a show at the Queen Elizabeth Theater. “Shows,” notes Steve Martin wryly. “The only thing we do now…”
How did you feel when you got the Emmy nominations? You’re up against some very interesting company there—what were your thoughts?
Steve Martin: I was totally surprised, and I think Marty was too.

Amidst the jokes, quips, groaners and yuks that comprise Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget For the Rest of Your Life, one of the best moments of the duo's Netflix special involves a total screw-up. At the five-minute mark, as longtime pals Steve Martin and Martin Short are running through their polished back-and-forth barbs, Martin, who turns 73 this summer, muffs the name of the city where they're performing. (For the record, it's Greenville, South Carolina. But Martin's mouth morphs it into "Grinville.") As the comedian...

Netflix has released the first trailer for the upcoming Steve Martin and Martin Short comedy special, Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Life.
Steve Martin is one of my favorite comedians of all time. His style of comedy is timeless and I've always found him to be so damn funny. He's unlike any other comedian out there and he's one hell of an entertainer. It's so cool to see that he's teamed up with Martin Short, who I also think is great, to do a show together. I really enjoyed what I saw in this first trailer and I'm looking forward to watching the special! I know this style of comedy isn't for everyone, but I grew up with it, so I enjoy it.
Martin and Short filmed the special at the Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina while on their ongoing national tour.

I am a huge fan of Steve Martin. He's one of my all-time favorite comedians so I was excited to learn that he has teamed up with Martin Short to give us a comedy special on Netflix. The special is being called Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Life.
I know Martin and Short's comedy style isn't for everyone, but I love how wacky and wild they get! What I like most about them is that their comedy is timeless. Martin released a video on Twitter that you can watch below in which they amusingly announce the show.
Martin and Short filmed the special at the Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina while on their ongoing national tour. So for fans who aren’t able to see the two comedians live, they have this feature to look forward to and more.
