- Frederick Bartman was born on October 16, 1923. He was an actor, known for Six Shades of Black (1965), The Rise and Fall of César Birotteau (1965) and The Brothers Karamazov (1964). He died on May 21, 2014 in London, England, UK.
- In 1976, he opened an antiques shop, Anno Domini, in Pimlico, south-west London, with a David Cohen. By 1993, he had been accused of murdering Lady Brenda Cross, who worked there, but a jury found him innocent.
