Michel Bernholc was born on July 10, 1941 in Paris, France. He was a composer, known for Tous vedettes! (1980), The Sweeney (1975) and Michi (1986). He died on June 5, 2002 in Montreuil, Seine-Saint-Denis, France.
In the 1970s and 1980s, pianist Michel Bernholc worked as an arranger in the recording studio for artists such as Mort Shuman, Michel Delpech, Matioszek, Gérard Lenorman, and Yves Duteil.
He also wrote the Victoire Scott song "La Licorne D'or", which was covered by the Swedish symphonic metal band Therion on their fifteenth full-length musical album Les Fleurs du Mal.
Michel Bernholc participated in the Eurovision Song Contest as an arranger/conductor on four occasions and is responsible for some of the best orchestrations ever made in the contest.
Using the pseudonym Mike Steiphenson, he wrote and produced the 1971 hit "Burundi Black", which made #31 on the UK Singles Chart and #74 in Australia.
Hit records with an orchestration written by him include 'This melody' by Julien Clerc and 'En chantant' by Michel Sardou.
