- Graduated from Mills High School in 1996 and later attended Skyline College. A champion wrestler at both the high school and intercollegiate levels, he was also skilled in martial arts.
- Brian suffered from heavy depression and committed suicide at age 25 in March 2004. He had attempted to take his life three times before, according to his manager. When Brian died, he had already quit modeling months back and was working on a tug boat under the Golden Gate Bridge and studying martial arts.
