Ireland’s Galway Film Fleadh (July 11-16) returns for its 35th edition with a line-up including opening night film Thaddeus O’Sullivan’s The Miracle Club, following its world premiere at Tribeca, that stars Laura Linney, Maggie Smith, Kathy Bates and Agnes O’Casey.

The National Film School at the Institute of Art, Design & Technology (Iadt) is this week hosting the Engage co-production project at its Dun Laoghaire campus and at the Light House Cinema. Organised by Nfs Creative Director Donald Taylor Black and following a highly successful pilot programme last year, Iadt and its partners, Screen Academy Scotland/Edinburgh Napier University, the Baltic Film and Media School (Estonia), as well as Uiah (Helsinki) - new to the consortium in 2009, have once again secured EU Media funding from Brussels.
