I Am Number Four is just about to hit stores, and star Dianna Agron chatted about the film recently. Well, largely she chatted about her spare time, guys, and fashion, but you know how it goes. The Glee star has some lofty goals, and simple tastes. Check out the interview below.
Was it fun to leave the Glee gang behind for some big-screen action with your new movie, I Am Number Four?
It was a lot of fun to try something new, but I knew I was going back to Glee after we finished filming I Am Number Four. It was only a brief change for me, but it was great to step into a whole new world.
When did you discover that you clicked so well with your co-star, Alex Pettyfer?

“I Am Number Four,” based on the novel by Pittacus Lore (the pseudonym of writers Jobie Hughes and James Frey — yes, that James Frey), is a sci-fi action thriller aimed squarely at teens. The story is nothing new (aliens hide among humans while evading those who want to kill them), but its target demo may be young enough to have not seen other (and better) iterations.
Chiseled Brit actor Alex Pettyfer plays John Smith, aka Number Four, a teenager who broods and sulks and resents being different (i.e., not human). When he moves to a new town, he hits it off with a comely lass, Sarah (“Glee’s” Dianna Agron), who is artsy and bohemian...

The Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills is about as far removed from the small-town Ohio where the new D.J. Caruso-helmed sci-fi actioner “I Am Number Four” takes place, not least because, as far as one can surmise, there are no aliens among us. Then again, the actors are so inhumanly beautiful, there’s almost something supernatural about them.
Caruso, performers Alex Pettyfer, Dianna Agron, Callan McAuliffe and Teresa Palmer, and screenwriters Marti Noxon, Miles Millar and Alfred Gough have gathered on this summery January afternoon to discuss the themes and back story of the new DreamWorks flick about a teenage alien trying to blend in on Earth while being chased by predators intent on killing him. Chicago – In real life, we cling to the notion that the inconceivable can happen, that magical probability can penetrate the mendacity of everyday existence, but it rarely if ever happens. That is what makes the new film “Secretariat” so appealing, that 37 years ago the impossible did happen, through the heart of a horse and his believers. Diane Lane and John Malkovich lead the charge.
Rating: 4.0/5.0
Secretariat is the horse that won the Triple Crown of racing (Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Belmont Stakes) back in 1973, and did it in a fashion that has yet to be equalled. Although it seems that everyone would know this story, the power of the achievement had been lost, until this film found it again. With the feel (complete with wooden dialogue) of a 1940s studio film, Secretariat brings together the characters, settings and drama that only a true story can muster.

Feeling merry? Disney and Robert Zemeckis sure hope so as they prepare to unload the technologically obsessed filmmaker's vision of Dickens' classic holiday tale, A Christmas Carol, in over 3,500 theaters (2,000 of which will be 3-D). Carol starring Jim Carrey may be Zemeckis' most successful debut using his beloved motion-capture technology -- which seems to have finally overcome the "hollowed eyes" criticism that befell his earlier attempts like Polar Express and Beowulf. Now it's really just going to come down to how many people are ready for some Christmas spirit this early in the fall season. (Some of us still haven't disposed of our jack-o'-lantern remains.

Because that's what she's playing in The Losers, Warner Bros.' adaptation of the Vertigo comic book series -- written by Andy Diggle and drawn by Jock -- which follows a band of disavowed intelligence operatives trying to claw their way back into the world, by any means necessary. And some of those means involve massive amounts of property damage. Due in theaters in April of 2010, The Losers finds the once-and-future Uhura taking on the role of Aisha, a mysterious South American hellion...
