- Born in an French aristocratic family, he had the title of marquis. His father Henry was a politician and a personnal friend of king Edward VII. Composer of musical comedies, he is the father of the current marquis Henri-François Le Tonnelier. He is also a distant cousin of the infamous junkie Jean de Breteuil (Paris, 15 November 1949-June 1972, Tangiers).
