While you're enjoying Memorial Day Weekend, Indiewire has selected a number of films to help usher in the start of the summer vacation season for our latest curated Hulu Documentaries page. Watch all these docs for free now! This celebration of the beckoning call of summer begins with Bruce Brown's classic 1966 surfing film "The Endless Summer." Two men try to extend the season year-round by literally traveling around the world in the search of the perfect weather to keep surfing. Combined with a surfing music soundtrack, the popular film influenced countless imitators to go on similar journeys. For many New Yorkers seeking a summer getaway, the Hamptons are much more convenient than circumnavigating the planet. The location has been forever captured in the Maysles brothers' seminal 1975 portrait of Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter Edie, "Grey Gardens," made with Ellen Hovde and Muffie Meyer. Thirty years later, previously unused.

Artist International has acquired Sleeping Giant Entertainment and installed Giant owner and CEO Dave Brown as president of Artist's motion picture and TV lit departments.
Brown will fold his management firm into that of Artist International, a subsidiary of Hollywood Studios International, overseeing its current management clientele of screenwriters and television and film directors.
He will work with recent hires Eric Christenson, Hollywood Studios International's president of acquisitions and distribution, and Cfo Marcia Allen to develop a slate of client-generated projects that can be financed internally.
"Dave brings years of expertise and an uncanny hands-on approach to our company, and we are excited he has joined our team," said Steven Saxton, chairman and CEO of Hollywood Studios International.
Brown founded Sleeping Giant in 2006 after leaving Benderspink. Prior to that, he held posts at agencies Bruce Brown and Genesis and got his start at Writers & Artists.

I mean come on, how many zombie stories can one eat in a year anyway?
I have to be honest with Howard Lovecraft And The Frozen Kingdom... at times I loved the book and other times I just rolled my eyes in grief. I think the extreme separation in both loving and disliking the book has to come from the frenetic writing of Bruce Brown. I certainly...
