Physicist Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) leaps from being part of a gang attempting to steal the Hope Diamond in episode one to being a member of the Atlantis space shuttle crew in NBC’s Quantum Leap episode two. All his friends and fellow lab employees hoped he’d leap from 1985 back to the present, but that’s definitely not the case as he’s currently stuck in 1998.
The space shuttle successfully launches and even reluctant traveler Ben’s wowed by the view from space. Their mission is to put the first piece of the International Space Station in place, and he listens to pilot Samantha Stratton (Carly Pope) and Commander Jim Reynolds (Jose Zuniga) exchange friendly banter. Stratton promises she’s going to make Reynolds proud as Ben is mesmerized by the stars.

“Programming the Midnighters section this year felt especially invigorating,” Jarod Neece, SXSW Senior Film Programmer, said. “The filmmaking teams, while particularly diverse, all seem to be using their films as a cathartic lens to view the modern-day world. One trend we noticed was the presence of a strong female protagonist fighting off everything from hordes of zombies, bad dates, creepy rideshare drivers and supernatural forces. Exclusive: The fourth and final season of Kit Williamson’s Emmy-nominated Lgbtq series Eastsiders will be available on Netflix on December 1.
Thanks to a Kickstarter campaign that raised over $140,000 from fans, Eastsiders, a co-production with Wolfe Video, will be back with a fourth season that picks up with the Silver Lake gang one year later. Executive produced by Williamson and his husband John Halbach, who also star, the six-episode Season 4 tackles heavy, adult-world questions like how do two human beings make love last? What does commitment really look like in a long-term relationship? And what unique challenges does a “gay marriage” present?
Cal (Williamson) and Thom (Van Hansis) are back home from Season 3’s cross-country road trip, still a couple but wondering if they are really just best friends with benefits. Douglas (Willam Belli) and Quincy (Stephen Guarino) are engaged to be married, but with very different ideas about what a gay wedding should be.

Sean William Scott as a serial killer. As soon as I read that I knew Bloodline was a movie and role that I never knew I wanted to see but now had to. I was very much looking forward to see if it worked out at all like I hoped it would.
Scott plays Evan, father of a newborn son with his wife Lauren (Mariela Garriga) and we see the stress of a new baby effects both of them in very different ways. Evan has a tendency to kill people and now he has a son to look after and protect. While Lauen is struggling with breast feeding and a very limited amount of sleep,...

Seann William Scott (American Pie) stars in a new horror thriller called Bloodline. He plays a character named Evan, a Dexter-like character who goes out and kills people who abuse and harm kids. It’s his way of justice.
It’s explained that Evan “values family above all else, and anyone who gets between him, his wife, and newborn son learns that the hard way. But when it comes to violent tendencies, it's his only release.” It looks like an intense and brutal film and it’s cool to see Scott in a new movie.
Bloodline is the directorial debut of Henry Jacobson, and the cast also includes Mariela Garriga, Dale Dickey, Kevin Carroll, Christie Herring, Leith M. Burke, Nick Boraine, and Dusty Sorg. Looks intensely brutal, as expected, usual Blumhouse thrills. See below.
Bloodline comes from Blumhouse and it will be released on September 20th, 2019.

"He gets what he deserves, right?" Momentum Pictures has debuted an official trailer for an indie horror thriller titled Bloodline, which premiered at Fantastic Fest last fall. This Blumhouse production is about a man who takes out and sometimes kills the people who harm their children. Seann William Scott stars as Evan, who values family above all else, and anyone who gets between him, his wife, and newborn son learns that the hard way. But when it comes to violent tendencies, it seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The cast includes Mariela Garriga, Dale Dickey, Kevin Carroll, Christie Herring, Leith M. In today’s film news roundup, animated adventure “Promare” is set for release, SAG-aftra is dealing with Disney’s tardy residual payments and horror-thriller “Lucky” has wrapped.

“Promare” is the first feature-length film from Studio Trigger, the creators behind “Kill la Kill” and “Little Witch Academia.” Directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, “Promare” follows a group of humans who must defend the Earth from a mutant group called the Burnish, many of whom are able to control and wield flames.

This scattershot satire of the dark underbelly of 1950s suburbia feels like a movie the Coen brothers forgot to make. It is their script, which means the laughs still have bite. And the director is George Clooney, who's previously worked as an actor with the Coens, sometimes smashingly (O Brother Where Are Thou, Burn After Reading), sometimes not (Intolerable Cruelty). But the star, staying behind the camera here, lacks the instinct to go for the jugular the way the material demands. Clooney and his producing partner Grant Heslov updated the...

On paper, few 2017 releases should be safer Academy Award plays than Suburbicon. After all, it has George Clooney behind the camera, the Coen Brothers co-writing, as well as Matt Damon and Julianne Moore in starring roles. Throw in a supporting turn from Oscar Isaac and the ingredients are all there for something irresistible. And yet, this is one of the year’s more disappointing films. It opens in theaters this week and will hope to reverse the at best mixed buzz that has followed the flick on the fall festival circuit. There’s ambition on display here, though unfortunately it just never comes together in a satisfying way. A period piece satire, set in the utopian style community of Suburbicon, we see two events shape the entire community. One is the arrival of the first African American family into the town, while the other is a home invasion. The Meyers...

Like a pub-rock cover band, “Suburbicon” can be bluntly effective when playing the old hits. Sure, it’s not the real deal, but if you get into the music, overlook a couple bum notes, and let the pints do their work, you can reasonably groove along. And that’s most certainly the case with George Clooney’s latest outing behind the camera, which finds the prominent actor/director/international megastar in full-on chameleon mode, aping the Coens, Hitchcock, and Billy Wilder to modestly satisfying effect.
The film gets a bit shakier when it lets its own voice crack through.
Clooney and writing partner Grant Heslov took a long-shelved Coen Brothers’ script and grafted it onto another project , the story of racial harassment in the ’50s model suburb of Levittown. The seams certainly show, as “Suburbicon” is basically two concurrent stories interwoven by the fact that both take place on the same block.

Few people know the real-life story behind the upcoming George Clooney-helmed film Suburbicon better than Lynda Myers. After all, it was her parents, William (played by Leith M. Burke in the film) and Daisy (Karimah Westbrook), who moved into the home at 43 Deepgreen Lane in Levittown, Pennsylvania, in August 1957 — setting off a violent racial conflict that lasted months.
The parallels to the recent protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, are haunting. An idyllic community explodes in racial violence. A seemingly safe neighborhood is upended when whites start rioting against blacks. But that was the scene in Levittown — a long-forgotten...

On July 1, my independently produced Lgbt series “EastSiders” made its debut on Netflix. This is the first time in the series’ four-year history that it has been made available internationally, with subtitles in more than a dozen languages. It’s been a long road from YouTube to Netflix, and looking back there were several key decisions we made that helped our show compete in an increasingly crowded space.
I wish I could say that I predicted this, that it was all part of some master plan, but the truth is I had no idea a series could have as many lives as “EastSiders” has had. My goals when I created the show were simple; I wanted to write, direct and star in a project and see it through to completion, because I had been involved in so many micro budget projects that never saw the light of day.
