We’re just a few days away from the release of Bill & Ted Face the Music, and I thought this made for the perfect occasion to look back on where it all started over 30 years ago, and celebrate the historical figures and those responsible for bringing them to life on the silver screen for Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. For as charming and endearing both Bill S. Preston, Esquire (Alex Winter) and Ted “Theodore” Logan were (and still are), the other time travelers in the original film added so much personality and delivered such memorable performances that I thought it was only right to take a moment to shine the spotlight on all of them.
Party on, Dudes!

If you’ve spent time on social media or reading movie-news websites or following the career of Keanu Reeves, then you might be aware that right now, as we speak, there is a third Bill and Ted movie on the way, a movie that brings back Alex Winter and Reeves himself as the air-guitar-shredding, continuously-partying, time-traveling, death-cheating, history-weaving titular legends of the late 80s and early 90s, Bill S. Preston Esquire and Ted Theodore Logan… Wild Stallions. Yup, Bill and Ted are coming back, and there are a lot of us fans who are excited about what that means. It could be an absolute blast.
What this new film also means is that...

"Gentlemen - I'm here to help with your history report." Studiocanal UK has released an official trailer for the brand new 4K restoration of the 80s comedy time travel classic Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Yes, we're getting a sequel this year finally - Bill & Ted Face the Music - but while we wait for them to figure when this will open, we can revisit the original movie in the best quality yet. Starring Keanu Reeves as Ted Theodore Logan, and Alex Winter as Bill S. Preston Esquire, two high schoolers from San Dimas who end up traveling through time in a phone both. Featuring George Carlin, Terry Camilleri, Dan Shor, Tony Steedman, Rod Loomis, Al Leong, Jane Wiedlin, Robert V. Barron, Clifford David, plus Hal Landon Jr. I love this movie so much! I watched it so many times as a kid. And it's still just as entertaining and...

Fango has learned that IFC Films has grabbed another pair of fear features from overseas, to premiere on the company’s video-on-demand platforms ahead of eventual DVD release. These titles join IFC’s growing lineup of upcoming genre titles, which also includes such recent acquisitions as Nicolas Winding Refn’s brutal Viking film Valhalla Rising and Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher’s zombie opus La Horde.
New to the IFC roster are the Australian chiller Coffin Rock (pictured) and the Spanish production Paintball. Coffin Rock, written and directed by Rupert Glasson, is about a young married woman (Lisa Chappell) who drunkenly sleeps with a stranger; when she becomes pregnant, the one-night stand begins a psychopathic campaign to prove the baby is his. Robert Taylor, Sam Parsonson and The Cars That Ate Paris’ Terry Camilleri co-star. In Paintball, directed by Daniel Benmayor from a Mario Schoendorff script, a group of contestants...

The best part about this unfettered access to Fangoria’s Files is being able to track down those films Academy Award Nominated directors would rather forget. Sure Peter Weir made us all tear up in front of our girlfriends with such films as Gallipoli, The Truman Show and Witness, but what kind of emotion was he trying to evoke with one of his earlier films, The Cars That Ate Paris from 1974?
The film was released in the Us as The Cars That Eat People. I guess they figured American audiences wouldn’t be that sympathetic to the French. It took me a good twenty minutes of viewing and language deciphering to realize that the Paris they were referring to was actually a small town in Australia. At first glance, it looks like Maximum Overdrive meets Herbie The Love Bug with sadly no Emilio or Lindsey. However, it shares more in...

A man in a panicked mood dines with a dead fish, dressing it up as a woman and feeding it. He begins a strange one-sided conversation with the fish, which steadily turns dispiriting. This film is kind of funny, kind of sad and kind of creepy. It won 3rd prize at the 2006 Tropfest, Australia's biggest short film festival. If you recognized the main actor in the film from somewhere, that's because he's Terry Camilleri, an Australian actor best known for playing Napoleon in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
