Washington, Aug 3 (Ians) Argentine legend Lionel Messi scored twice as Inter Miami secured a place in the Leagues Cup round of 16 with a 3-1 home win over Orlando City.
Messi, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain F.C. star, gave the hosts the lead in the seventh minute on Wednesday night when he timed his run to perfection and controlled Robert Taylor’s lofted pass with his chest before thumping a close-range volley past Peruvian goalkeeper Pedro Gallese.
The visitors equalised shortly after through Cesar Araujo, who swept home a first-time finish after Ivan Angulo’s shot was parried clear by Drake Callender, reports Xinhua.
Venezuelan striker Josef Martinez then converted a penalty after he was brought down by Antonio Carlos.
Messi put the result beyond doubt with another volley from the edge of the six-yard box following Martinez’s unselfish pass.

We could say that Marcel Camus' 1959 award-winning Black Orpheus introduced the rest of the world to the favelas of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil; although it's probably better known for the Antônio Carlos Jobim-composed bossa nova-infused soundtrack. But I'd probably wager that most audiences outside of Brazil today will likely look to Fernando Meirelles' critically-lauded and blistering 2002 smash City Of God as their first intro to life in the favelas - the bairros africanos (African neighborhoods), where former slaves with no land ownership and no options for work, lived. Since then, it seems like a few similar films have traveled (or...

They should disembark on the runway, so as to avoid the paparazzi and possible throngs of fans. The article does not explain why Lautner, whose character Jacob Black doesn't play a role in the...

They should disembark on the runway, so as to avoid paparazzi and possible throngs of fans. Bessa adds that in addition to filming in the Lapa district (downtown Rio's historical section) on Sunday (Nov. 7), the Breaking Dawn stars will shoot a now-confirmed sequence at Marina da Glória, across [...]...

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson in David Slade's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (top); Rio de Janeiro's Marina da Glória with Sugar Loaf in the background (upper middle); Paraty-Mirim (lower middle); Lapa and Rio's business center (bottom) RioFilme's Sergio Sá Leitão has tweeted that most rumors about the filming of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in Rio are "baseless." Yet, a Nov. 3 report in the Brazilian celebrity magazine Revista Quem affirms that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner — apparently on leave of absence from the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, set — arrive in Brazil on Friday, Nov. 5, aboard a chartered jet landing at Rio de Janeiro's Antônio Carlos Jobim International Airport. (Note that there's no mention of director Bill Condon. Not enough of a celebrity?) Written by Priscila Bessa, the report asserts that Pattinson, Stewart, and Lautner will be there to begin filming their Breaking Dawn scenes — and not just [...]...
