- Jean Carmet was born on April 25, 1920 in Tours, Indre-et-Loire, France. He was an actor and writer, known for Les Misérables (1982), Bouvard et Pecuchet (1990) and The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe (1972). He was married to Raymonde Machet. He died on April 20, 1994 in Sèvres, Hauts-de-Seine, France.
