Following Carney’s departure, Spt is consolidating the U.S. Ad Sales and U.S. Syndication teams under Philip Martzolf, Evp, U.S. Distribution Syndicated sales. Meanwhile, Spt’s research team, which had been reporting to Carney, will now report to Jeff Frost, President, Sony Pictures Television Studios.
Carney was one of four president-level executives who reported to Sony Pictures Entertainment Chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra before Hopkins’ appointment, alongside Frost, worldwide networks head Andy Kaplan and distribution chief Keith Le Goy. In addition to Carney, Kaplan also recently left in a reorganization.
