Rlje Films, a business unit of AMC Networks, has picked up select rights to Deadtectives from Shudder, AMC Networks’ streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural. Deadtectives will be released on July 21, 2020 on DVD for an Srp of $27.97. Check out the trailer:
Directed and co-written by Tony West (“The Soup”), the horror/comedy stars Chris Geere, Tina Ivlev (“Shameless”), David Newman (“Victoria”) and Martha Higareda (“Altered Carbon”). The film is Produced by Jason Tamasco of Bad Idea and Daniel Posada (“El Chapo”). Jerry Careccio and Charles Barsamian are Executive Producers.

Writer-director Tony West’s feature debut tells of a team of hapless reality TV ghost-hunters who encounter actual paranormal activity while filming in the most haunted mansion in Mexico.
Facing the cancellation of their show and supernatural entities, the team must work out how to bust the ghosts, deliver the episode of a lifetime, and escape with their lives intact.

Exclusive: Kate Bosworth has been set to star in the sci-fi action thriller Genesis, which she is also producing via her Make Pictures Productions with Jason Tamasco, Jerry Careccio and Zak Kristofek’s Bad Idea shingle. Mike Lè Han is directing the pic penned by Brian Michael Scully about a mother searching for her daughter in a post-apocalyptic world.
The producers are now taking the title around at the ongoing American Film Market in Santa Monica.
The actor is going all-in with the sci-fi genre of late. She will produce and star in Neil Labute’s The I-Land, which Netflix just ordered to series. That project co-stars Natalie Martinez and Alex Pettyfer. Bosworth also recently starred MGM’s post-apocalyptic drama The Domestics and in Nat Geo’s series The Long Road Home.
