“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 continued on May 26 with the fourth episode streaming on Paramount+. Airing concurrently with the main show is its Werk Room-focused sister series “Untucked,” now in its 5th season for the “All Stars” franchise. This season, the eliminated queens have the opportunity to compete in the “Fame Games,” an online and social media component to the competition where fans will vote for a queen to win the $50,000 cash prize up for grabs.
In episode 4 of “Untucked,” the 9 remaining queens reflected on the latest challenge and discussed the upcoming elimination. That decision could be in the hands of the group vote among the safe queens or solely in the hands of the week’s top performer, Jimbo, if she won the lip sync against the secret assassin Shannel. The bottom queens up for elimination this time around were Alexis Michelle and Jaymes Mansfield for the first time,...

Raquel Welch, an international sex symbol and icon of the 1960s and 70s has died after a brief illness, according to her management company Media Four. Welch was 82.
Welch’s films included “Fantastic Voyage,” “The three Musketeers” and “Legally Blonde.”
Welch is best known for her breakout role in “Fantastic Voyage” (1966), after which she was signed to a talent contract with 20th Century Fox. She followed that with “One Million Years B.C.” in which she had only three lines. But her skimpy two-piece deerskin bikini became a best-selling poster and launched her into star status as an international sex symbol.

Guess who’s back in the house! No, really, Drag Race fans were left to ponder that very question after a sneak peek suggested that a mysterious ninth queen would be joining the first winners-only edition of All Stars.
So, who pulled off this Alexis Carrington-inspired werkroom entrance? As many an eagle-eyed tweeter predicted, the queen under that enormous hat was none other than Raven, the runner-up of both Drag Race Season 2 and All Stars Season 1. “I identify as a winner,” Raven explained while the eight pre-announced queens looked on with understandable confusion.

Frederic Aspiras, hairstylist to Lady Gaga in “House of Gucci” has become the second Asian American to be nominated for a Hair and Makeup Oscar.
Japanese-born American special make-up effects artist and visual artist Kazuhiro Tsuji is the only other Asian American to be nominated and win for “The Darkest Hour” and “Bombshell.”
The award was created by the Academy in 1981 after complaints that there was no way to recognize the makeup artists for the 1980 film “The Elephant Man.”
Aspiras, who is of Vietnamese-Filipino descent, also earned a BAFTA nomination last week and is nominated for a Makeup and Hairstylist Guild nomination. He has worked with Gaga for over 13 years, including creating the look sported by Gaga for Variety’s Actors on Actors cover. Born July 26, 1993, actress and singer Elizabeth Gillies burst onto the scene in 2008 as Lucy in the Broadway musical “13.” Through the years she’s starred in various television projects including “The Black Donnellys” (2007), “Victorious” (2010) and “Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll” (2015), in addition to her voice roles in “American Dad” (2015) and “Robot Chicken” (2018). All of this led to her breakout performances as Fallon Carrington/Alexis Carrington in “Dynasty” (2017), the CW’s reboot of the classic 1980s soap opera. Gillies has also appeared in movies like “Animal” (2014), “Vacation” (2015) and “Arizona” (2018), and in music videos alongside her best friend Ariana Grande. There are a lot of secret siblings on television.
Plenty of TV shows tend to build their foundation on common tropes such as the cringe-worthy love triangle trope and the long lost sibling trope.
If you need to stir up some drama, especially in a campy teen series, there's no better way than by bringing in a secret sibling that's jealous, scorned, vengeful, broken, betrayed, looking for a family, or all of the above.
Some secret siblings are introduced in a sensical way with the serious laying some breadcrumbs leading up to the introduction.
Other reveals come out of left field and frustrate audiences by appearing as mere plot devices thrown in for the sake of it.
And sometimes, the trope works well as the secret siblings become pivotal to the storyline and the main character's development.

When Dynasty‘s third season resumes tonight (The CW, 9/8c), Alexis Carrington Colby will have a new attitude to match her new face.

I’m really thinking about what drives Alexis. She’s a survivor, and she loves her kids. With those two elements alone, she’ll do anything to anyone anywhere at any time.”

If you told me that Thursday’s Legacies was secretly a backdoor pilot for a new spinoff about an ice cream-scooping, cat-resurrecting necromancer known simply as “Ted,” I would be elated.
That’s pretty much how things shook out for The Necromancer after his brief visit to Mystic Falls in Season 1. As we learned via flashbacks, the “freedom” he gained by destroying the knife and escaping Malivore’s clutches was a miserable new existence in Texas, complete with a strip mall gig, a new name (Ted!) and absolutely no powers whatsoever. There was absolutely no order in the court on the midseason finale of Dynasty.
And that's exactly what we expected considering the new and improved Alexis Carrington Colby made her epic return on Dynasty Season 3 Episode 8.
Da Erica Brown truly had an ace up her sleeve when it came to the secret witness.
Though Alexis' moment of glory was brief, there's no doubt she's going to put a wrench in Blake's murder trial when episodes return in 2020.
Blake and Anders prematurely celebrated his win, but Alexis serves as a reminder that he's made plenty of enemies over the years that will gladly watch him go down.

“The Parent Trap” star Elaine Hendrix has joined the cast of The CW’s “Dynasty” reboot as the new Alexis Carrington, a spokesperson for the network confirmed to TheWrap. According to the showrunner, “Alexis is back in Atlanta, with a new look, a new man, and plenty of scores to settle.”
Hendrix will play Carrington as a series regular on the show, which is currently airing its third season. She replaces Nicollette Sheridan, who played Carrington in seasons one and two of the reboot. Sheridan exited the soap opera to “focus on some personal family responsibilities,” the network and CBS Studios told TheWrap in February.
After Sheridan’s departure, Elizabeth Gillies, who also plays Carrington’s daughter Fallon, briefly took over the role.

There is no Dynasty without Alexis Carrington stirring the pot.
According to Deadline, Elaine Hendrix will be the third actress to take on the role on The CW's reboot.
The Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll actress will take on the role during Dynasty Season 3, which premiered earlier this month.
She is taking over the role vacated by Desperate Housewives actress Nicollette Sheridan when she departed the series last season.
In order to give the character of Alexis a reason to be off-screen, Elizabeth Gillies, who also portrays Fallon Carrington played the role for a few episodes.

Thankfully, it seems like this new iteration of Alexis will be sticking around since Hendrix is on board as a series regular.
Joan Collins first portrayed the role in the original Dynasty, but these new takes on the character have not been entirely popular with fans of the series.

Dynasty is getting the band back together. Elaine Hendrix, who co-starred opposite Elizabeth Gillies on FX’s Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, is stepping into the role of Alexis Carrington, TVLine has learned.
This makes Hendrix the third actress to portray the iconic character on The CW’s Dynasty reboot. Nicollette Sheridan originated the role midway through Season 1, with Gillies (via the magic of plastic surgery) temporarily taking over in Season 2, following Sheridan’s abrupt exit.

Hendrix will be taking over the role first launched in this Dynasty by former Desperate Housewife Nicollette Sheridan and temporarily played by Elizabeth Gilles, who also portrays Fallon Carrington on the show and is a S&d&r&r vet too. Recently cast in the upcoming The Country Club feature, The Parent Trap actor will be a series regular as the perpetually scheming Alexis on Dynasty.

We entered Supergirl’s fifth season knowing it would be Mehcad Brooks’ last as a series regular, but that didn’t make James’ exit on Sunday’s episode feel any less abrupt.
Still on the run from Malefic, James and Kelly sought shelter in their hometown, which has apparently fallen into despair since they lived there as children. After speaking with a young homeless boy, as well as his former co-workers at the local newspaper, James decided he needed to return home and channel the power of the press to restore Calvintown to its former glory.

Arrow‘s 2040 timeline has revealed its own Deathstroke, and beneath the marauder’s mask is the face of no less than John Diggle and Lyla Michaels’ biological son, John Jr. aka JJ. How did the apple fall so far from the tree? And is JJ truly ruthless enough to slay Mia’s brother William or any other member of Future Team Arrow — stepbrother Connor (Joseph David-Jones) included?
The second episode of Arrow‘s farewell run left us with that question, as JJ aimed to “rip the heart out” of the Unification movement by targeting its members, William (Ben Lewis) included.

Creator Marc Cherry never met a domestic murder he didn’t love to exploit. With his clever new CBS All Access series “Why Women Kill,” the veteran TV producer once again examines what it means to be a woman – especially one who is marginalized, wronged, or taken for granted – alongside an undercurrent of tongue-in-cheek danger. The limited series feels like the sister of “Desperate Housewives,” his groundbreaking mystery comedy-drama, in that it revels in the domestic problems, secrets, and crimes among a group of women using a gimmick. Instead of having the story told from the point of view of the deceased, however, “Why Women Kill” plays with time, having thematically similar stories play out over different decades.
Taking place in the same Pasadena mansion, the series begins in 1963 with charming homemaker Beth-Ann (Ginnifer Goodwin), who discovers that her husband is having an affair. In 1984, fabulous socialite Simone (Lucy Liu) has a similar epiphany,...

The best moments of “Desperate Housewives” — Marc Cherry’s pathbreaking and strangely underrated 2000s soap opera — were the ones in which the wives got to talking. The four main characters on the show, which came on the air shortly after the end of “Sex and the City” and transplanted aspects of its formula from Manhattan to anonymous suburbia, each represented a particular way of thinking about love, marriage, and the home. The murders and scandal that made the show’s name felt ornamental when debate and frank talk played out over hedges or at the ladies’ poker night.
Which makes it all the more confounding that Cherry’s new soap opera, the CBS All Access drama “Why Women Kill,” is yet the latest show to fail to learn the lessons of one of the last truly huge network hits. His three protagonists — played by Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste — exist in different timelines,...

What the heck is going on behind-the-scenes at Dynasty? That burning question was put to The CW’s top exec on Sunday in the wake of last week’s latest casting shakeup, which finds Ana Brenda Contreras departing as Cristal Jennings.
“In terms of the Cristal situation, it’s very simple — we hoped that Ana Brenda Contreras would have continued,” CW President Mark Pedowitz told reporters at the Television Critics Assoc. summer press tour. “She has a personal issue that we had no control over, so we recast her with Daniella Alonso. There’s no dirt to be found.”

In last week's episode, Dynasty pulled the most Dynasty twist to have ever been pulled. After Nicolette Sheridan exited the series in March for a family matter, it was a major question of who would replace her as the iconic Alexis Carrington. Alexis was conveniently pushed into a fire a few episodes ago, and required plastic surgery to fix her face. That plastic surgery also ended up turning her into Elizabeth Gillies, who already plays her daughter Fallon. Gillies will now play both mother and daughter...for now. Showrunner Sallie Patrick told TVLine they "went for the biggest twist possible as an homage to the double castings and doppelgangers they had on the original series," and that the...

TV ratings are not the Bible, but once again, the “Last” came first on Friday night, as Fox’s Last Man Standing returned with its first new episode since last month to reclaim its throne atop the evening.
The comedy scored an 0.8/5 and 4.73 million audience to win the night’s demo wars. It now needs to rebuild momentum, as the 0.8 was actually down a tick from its previous new episode. The lag was also noted on follow-up The Cool Kids, which 0.6/4 and 3.52 was also down from its previous episode. Legal drama Proven Innocent capped the night by holding its 0.4/2 and 1.98 million audience.
Despite Last Man Standing’s win, ABC and Fox wound up tied in the overall network race, each with an 0.6/4.
At ABC, the pre-game NBA Countdown scored an 0.4/3 and 2.23 million as the lead-in to the Boston Celtics/Indiana Pacers playoff game, which tallied an O.7/4 and 2.66 across two hours.

The Friday episode of The CW’s Dynasty drama had a big reveal, finally unwrapping who will be the replacement for Nicollette Sheridan as Alexis Carrington on the show. Sheridan departed in March to attend to personal family matters.
Spoiler Alert: Do Not Read Further If You Have Not Seen The Episode
As fans will recall, the manipulative Alexis (then played by Sheridan) had a face-off with her long-lost son, Adam, who revealed that he knew Hank was stamped as her son. Adam walked in on his mother burning the evidence of fake DNA test results that would have proven the Hank contention.
Caught red-handed, Alexis confessed her past misdeeds, even going so far as to label them “despicable” even while saying she was desperate to get her family back.
Adam seemed to accept that apology and told her to burn the rest of the evidence. That’s when he...
