Look, I enjoyed Justice League. It was a fun and entertaining film. But, there's one major aspect of the film that bugged the living hell out of me! It was Superman's CGI upper lip!
When Henry Cavill was brought in for reshoots with Joss Whedon, he had to grow out a mustache for his role in the next Mission: Impossible film. Unfortunately, he was contractually obligated not to shave it, so Warner Bros. had to spend a shit-ton of money to remove it digitally.
It was even more unfortunate that it turned out to be some of the worst CGI in a major big-budget film that I've seen in a long time. As much as I enjoyed how the character of Superman was handled, that CGI upper lip was super freakin' distracting, creepy looking, and laughably bad. When previously talking about reshooting his Superman scenes with his mustache, Cavill told...

For those of you who are hoping that the upcoming feature film adaptation of It is going to be great, it looks like the movie isn't going to let Stephen King and horror movie fans down. I haven't seen the movie yet, but several members of the press have and it looks like they are loving what it delivers!
Judging from what people are saying the movie is going to be a fantastically terrifying film that will scare the shit out of audiences! That's exactly the kind of film that I was hoping for! It's also said that the film has heart and stays true to the spirit of the book.
Check out what people are saying on Twitter below! Damn, I can't wait to see this movie for myself!

Three weeks out from launch – in North America, at least – the first reactions to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 are beginning to pour online, while James Gunn has spoken more about the sequel’s multiple post-credits scenes. Spoilers: there are seemingly five – count ’em, five! – in total.
First and foremost, let’s take a look at how Guardians 2 has fared during its preliminary screenings. With less than 2 weeks to go now until Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theatres, the film is generating an enormous amount of buzz, finding itself as the talk of the town thanks to Disney’s aggressive marketing campaign.
It’s been a relentless assault on our senses these past few weeks, as the studio has been throwing new promos, clips, photos, posters and trailers at us every single day. But even with the staggering amount of footage we’ve seen from the upcoming Anthology film, we’re still left with one, important question: will it be any good?
Back in the summer, some pretty nasty rumors popped up pertaining to the reshoots that went down, with reports coming in that pointed to director Gareth Edwards being completely removed from set and Tony Gilroy taking his place.

While much has been said about the disappointing slate of blockbuster films this year, horror fans have certainly made out like bandits. In the first half, we were treated to the surprisingly good horror/thriller 10 Cloverfield Lane, the spiritual successor to the 2008 original. More recently, fans got to experience Don’t Breathe, another horror/thriller about a blind man kicking the asses of his would-be home invaders.
Both films exceeded expectations of quality, and fans are undoubtedly ready to follow the talent behind each of those films. Well, according to THR and Collider, Fede Alvarez, the director of Don’t Breathe, and Daniel Casey, one of the writers of 10 Cloverfield Lane (who I’m assuming was an uncredited rewrite for the the film), have signed on to direct and write, respectively an adaptation of the comic entitled Incognito.
Here’s what THR had to say about the source material:

Incognito, the cult comic series from Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, has wandered down a long and meandering road in its path to landing a big-screen adaptation. There finally appears to be light at the end of the tunnel, however, as The Hollywood Reporter has revealed Daniel Casey and Fede Alvarez have both agreed terms to board Sony’s gestating feature.
Coming off horror hit Don’t Breathe, Alvarez is a major coup for the studio while Casey, having contributed to the screenplay for the rather excellent 10 Cloverfield Lane, is a fine candidate to tackle this new take on the infamous Zack Overkill. Birthed as a six-issue miniseries by Marvel’s creator-owned Icon Comics imprint, an adaptation of Incognito initially set up shop at Fox. An end product never materalized, though, and screen rights were eventually passed onto Sony, where Peter Chernin and his Chernin Entertainment remain attached to produce.

Soon to be seen in Nacho Vigalondo‘s highly-anticipated Colossal at Tiff, and next year in the upcoming Ocean’s Eight alongside a massive cast, Anne Hathaway has another project in her sights. She’s signed on to star in and produce an adaptation of Jenny Mollen‘s novel Live Fast Die Hot according to Variety, which is not a cross-over spin-off on the Die Hard and Fast & Furious series.
In fact, it is a collection of personal essays from the author that delve into adulthood, responsibility, and proving that you can travel alone without ending up in a Taken-esque scenario. Mollen herself has a particular set of skills as a writer and actress who lives in New York, who has appeared in films such as Crazy, Stupid, Love and TV episodes on Wilfred and Girls. Sylvester Stallone is attached to star in a new untitled thriller that was previously known as Godforsaken. The script was written by Daniel Casey and Jim Mickle (Cold in July) was Mickle just hired to direct the film. Thanks to Deadline, we have some details on the story:
Stallone will play an aging ex-con with more regrets than memories. Upon hearing about his son’s death his solitude is quickly broken as he must now protect the only family he has left and avenge a son he hardly knew.
This sounds like a solid project for Stallone. I like it when he does these kinds of smaller films that flex his acting skills and give us something different than what we’re used to seeing him in.

It's billed as a sequel to Cloverfield, but is 10 Cloverfield Lane all it seems? We take a look at the subject of unrelated sequels...
In an era where it's just about impossible to make a high-profile movie without at least something leaking onto the web, producer Jj Abrams seems to have pulled off the ultimate coup in recent months: he and his company Bad Robot have secretly created a follow-up, of sorts, to the 2008 hit monster movie, Cloverfield.
On the 15th January, a trailer landed for 10 Cloverfield Lane, a claustrophobic horror thriller that Abrams described in a statement to Collider as a "blood relative" of that earlier film directed by Matt Reeves.
The premise is this: Mary Elizabeth Winstead's character, Michelle, is injured in a car accident and wakes up in a bunker with 40-something survivalist, Howard (John Goodman).
Howard tells Michelle that some kind of...

The internet is one heck of a place. You can literally find anything and everything on here, you just have to look hard enough. Or, have someone post a link on Twitter to something interesting, click it, and read all of its content. Pretty neat if I say so myself. In this case, someone I follow had a link to a Reddit page that was discussing some rather... cool stuff about "10 Cloverfield Lane," a film we just knew existed only hours ago. Now, this is Reddit, and, more importantly, the internet. We have no way of knowing whether this is true or untrue, only that it's floating around the web, and would make for a somewhat interesting story.
According to a user on Reddit, "10 Cloverfield Lane" wasn't always "10 Cloverfield Lane." The film originally went by a different name: "The Cellar." The plot of that film followed a young woman who...

Read More: Stephen Colbert and J.J. Abrams Nerd Out Over Lens Flares, Easter Eggs and 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' It's been quite the week for Ava DuVernay. On Monday, her limited edition Barbie doll sold out in a mere 17 minutes from Amazon and Mattel's website, and now she has received quite the big endorsement from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" director J.J. Abrams. Stopping by Nerdist during the promotional campaign for the surefire blockbuster, Abrams was asked by senior editor Dan Casey which female filmmakers he'd like to see behind the camera for a "Star Wars" movie, and he wasted no time coming up with his answer. "The knee-jerk reaction if I had to is Ava DuVernay, who I think would just kill it," the director said. "She is as much a fan of genre movies and hearing her talk about not just 'Star Wars'...

“I regret all of [the deaths] and none of them at the same time. It’s harder with the show because the actors are involved and they’re like good people — most of them,” Robert Kirkman said to an at-capacity audience at New York Comic Con on Thursday. “Everyone but Norman [Reedus].” Kirkman was speaking with Nerdist’s Dan Casey about the entire Walking Dead universe — the comics, the novels, the video game, and, of course, the show, which returns for its sixth season on Sunday. From the jump, Casey tried to get some juicy news out of Kirkman like, for instance, if we would see the big baddie Negan, leader of the Saviors, entering the show. “Are people excited about Negan?” Kirkman demurred. “I think it would be very cool if Negan were to be introduced into the show. I don’t know when that would happen though.” He paused and added,...

Footage revealed at today's D23 Expo gives us some big hints about what's ahead in "Captain America: Civil War." Marvel touted their Phase 3 films at today’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA. There was focus on “Doctor Strange” – which will launch Phase 3 – and the highly anticipated “Captain America: Civil War,” in which Chris Evans’ Captain America and Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man have a massive ideological split that causes an all-out-war between The Avengers – as well as several additional Marvel superheroes. “Doctor Strange” begins filming in November – more on that shortly. “Captain America: Civil War” is well under way, however, and Marvel Studios treated fans to a sneak peek of the film. Marvel Studios head of production Kevin Feige was on hand along with Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie (The Falcon) to introduce the teaser, and promise that it contained an Easter Egg that teased things to come in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It’s been a long road, but we finally did it! Tatiana Maslany, star of the hit BBC show “Orphan Black,” received her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. See the complete list of 2015 nominations! If you’re new to this particular fandom drama, a quick and dirty primer. On “Orphan Black,” Tatiana Maslany plays five main characters in the first season, and six in later seasons. This on top of one-off characters that come and go from the plot. Each one is a clone conceived via in vitro fertilization and comes with their own background, personality, and quirks. So it’s been a bit of a sticking point that Maslany has been overlooked year after year by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Fans had braced themselves for another year of disappointed this morning. But then a miracle happened. Tatiana was nominated. Congratulations to...
