- Anna-Marie Cazalis was born in 1920 in Boufarik, Alger, French Algeria, now Algeria. She was an actress, known for The Glass Castle (1950), The Quadrille (1950) and Disorder Is 20 Years Old (1967). She died on July 30, 1988 in Paris, France.
- She won the Paul-Valéry poetry prize in 1943 . She was part of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés movement with Juliette Gréco,Jean-Paul Sartre and Boris Vian, She later became a writer and journalist for Elle and Paris Match.
