Now that "The Office" has wrapped production, Rainn Wilson has offered up a tantalizing look at what the show could have been, had casting for the show way back in 2003 gone very differently.
Wilson posted a photo on his Facebook page Tuesday (March 19) of the sign-in sheet from the first day of auditions for the show on Nov. 6, 2003. The show's casting director, Allison Jones, kept the document and gave it to Wilson when filming ended last week, he says.
Wilson, who at the time was recurring on HBO's "Six Feet Under," was the first person to audition and signed in as auditioning for either Dwight, the role he'd end up getting, or Michael, eventually played by Steve Carell (who came aboard in early 2004). Others auditioning to play Dwight included Matt Besser ("Walk Hard"), Matt Price ("Men of a Certain Age") and Jarrett Grode ("Undeclared").

Leslie Knope’s one true love, wooing a mousy receptionist played by 24′s Chloe O’Brian? Bridesmaids’s secret air marshal explaining to an invisible documentary crew that he wants people to be afraid of how much they love him? A kooky beet farmer/paper salesman who doubles as a founding member of the legendary Upright Citizens Brigade improv troupe?
Thanks to Rainn Wilson, we now know that all of them could have been featured on The Office — if casting had gone just a little differently.

First time’s a charm, apparently: Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg’s stage-writing debut, Asuncion, earned a healthy B+ this week from writer Keith Staskiewicz. Our critics also saw two other productions — a premiere on the Main Stem and an I Love Lucy tribute in L.A — highlights below.
Asuncion: According to Staskiewicz, Eisenberg’s off-Broadway comedy about a liberal who discovers his hidden prejudices “is a solid playwriting debut.” “Even if the plot can be as shaggy and messy as the low-rent apartment in which it’s set,” he says, “Eisenberg has created something more ambitious than the sort of safe,...

St. Louis actor Bill Chott, is meeting this week with The Farrelly Brothers about the possibility of playing Curly in their upcoming Three Stooges movie, and he needs Your support.
Bill Chott is a St. Louis native who also shares residency in La. He has had a successful film and television career, which includes The Ringer, and playing Mr. Laritate on Disney’s Wizards Of Waverly Place.
Bill wrote on his Official Blog “All Things Bill Chott“:
“Pete Farrelly approached me at the premiere of Jackass 3D to tell me that he had received a Lot of letters from people in Missouri. He said that they were really heartfelt letters and then told me that they hadn.t forgotten about me for the part of Curly.”
See people, we can make a difference… and here is how.
1. Write to Fox and tell them that you want Bill Chott to play the role of Curly!

DVD Release Date: May 12
Creators: Dana Carvey, Robert Smigel
Starring: Dana Carvey, Robert Smigel, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell, Bill Chott, Elon Gold
Network: ABC
One of the best TV writing staffs ever assembled mostly delivers on its promise
Not a big hit during its initial 1996 run, The Dana Carvey Show has gained a certain legendary status less for its actual episodes, which were previously difficult to see, than by the notoriety of its staff during the years that followed. Aside from Carvey himself, the show was written and acted by Steve Carrell, Stephen Colbert, Charlie Kaufman, Robert Smigel, Louis C.K., Dino Stamatopoulos, Bill Chott and Spike Ferestein. Just knowing who’s in the group, it’s easy to see why the common assumption had been that it must’ve been brilliant and cancelled for being too ahead of its time.

We just got a heads up from our favorite author of disgusting vulgarity (not to mention poetry), Joe Knetter, about yet another film project he’s managed to find his way into. How does he do it?
The project is an anthology called Night of Terror, and while we’re not sure what the overall theme is (other than terror and night), Joe was able to give us the lowdown on the segment he wrote called “Christmas Stalking”. When you’re done groaning, here’s the official storyline:
It's Christmas Eve and the Peterson family is preparing for Christmas Day. While getting ready to put out the presents they notice a Christmas stocking hanging on the wall that isn't theirs. Is someone playing a joke? Or is it something more sinister?
We hope it’s the latter, and since we’re talking something penned by Knetter, it is virtually guaranteed.
