Earlier this month, the British government gave the greenlight to film and TV production to resume, but how can this be done safely?
During a panel discussion on Wednesday, moderated by Joseph Chianese, executive VP at consultancy Entertainment Partners, three prominent figures in the British production sector spoke about how the industry is figuring out how to implement the guidelines issued by the British Film Commission, “Working Safely During Covid-19 in Film and High-end TV Drama Production.”
Jamie Christopher, a first assistant director on movies such as Marvel’s “Black Widow,” urged “patience” as the guidelines were put in place and he cautioned against any complacency.
“The biggest changes I see coming are in the amount of crew and cast on set and the balance of what that will be and still maintaining an efficient workplace,” he said.
“Another massive challenge will be maintaining these guidelines [until a vaccine arrives],” he said. “We can...

Star Wars. Willow. Leprechaun. Narnia. These are just a few of the recognizable titles legendary actor Warwick Davis has helped shape over the years, both in front of and behind the camera. First discovered by George Lucas for 1983's Return of the Jedi, Davis has had a non-stop career ever since, becoming the go to little actor for countless films.
With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, Davis remains one of the only cast members to appear in every film, and one of the few to play multiple characters over the franchise's decade long run. We had a chance to sit down with Davis on the set of the movie (before he ran off to film a big action scene), where he delved into the history of Potter, his many roles and how he's still gung ho about acting.

As late as last December, Daniel Radcliffe and his "Harry Potter" co-stars were unsure if they'd be recruited, via some fancy CG effects, to play their older selves in J.K. Rowling's famous "Deathly Hallows" epilogue that flashes two decades into the future to capture what happens to the key characters. Though director David Yates had stated his preference to use a "Curious Case of Benjamin Button"-esque technique on his stars rather than hire older actors, it remained to be seen if the filmmakers could make such performances work.

The epilogue scene for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", which sees some of the major characters 19 years after the final battle, could end up being the last scene filmed for the series. Teasing on the possibility was Draco Malfoy depicter Tom Felton during his recent interview with MTV News.
"Jamie Christopher, the first [assistant director], was always really keen to do that as the final scene, because it's such a poignant moment for the franchise, that fact that it's 19 years on, and we get to see what happened to the characters," the 22-year-old actor told MTV. "I confess we haven't shot that yet, but we are all extremely excited to do so."
Felton additionally said that he and lead actor Daniel Radcliffe have discussed on the aging result. "Daniel and I have been talking about it for ages, and we are excited to see what we look like 19 years later," he shared.

Tom Felton confirmed in a new interview with MTV Movie News that the epilogue of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows will in fact be the final scene shot with Rupert Grint, Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Bonnie Wright, and Felton himself. Rather than going with older actors, the five young original actors will be aged up to look 20 years older than their characters are at the end of the Battle of Horwarts. Says Tom: "Jamie Christopher, the first [assistant director], was always really keen to do that as the final scene, because it's such a poignant moment for the franchise, that fact that it's 19 years on, and we get to see what happened to the characters. On the day we spoke with Tom Felton in Berlin, the "Harry Potter" star was still recovering from the muscle-bruising effects of some "Deathly Hallows" stunt work.
"I'm afraid to say riding a broomstick is no easy task," he laughed to MTV News. "They strap you in well and truly."
With that high-flying scene behind him, Felton has been looking forward, at long last, to shooting the concluding sequence in the series — that flash-forward postscript, in which author J.K.
