- Claus Clausen was born on August 15, 1899 in Eisenach, Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach [now Thuringia], Germany. He was an actor, known for Burning Hearts (1945), Der Feuerteufel (1940) and Our Flags Lead Us Forward (1933). He died on November 25, 1989 in Essen, Germany.
- Blond, cold-eyed German stage actor and director. He made his theatrical debut in 1920 in Weimar. Clausen appeared in relatively few films and is best remembered today for his first screen role as a lieutenant in the anti-war drama Westfront 1918 (1930). He was the son of the writer Ernst Clausen (1861-1912).
