Exclusive: U.S. execs headed to the inaugural Scripted Israel event in LA in September can expect to meet 17 prominent Israeli producers and a host of talent and writers.
Organizers have unveiled the line-up of participating companies at the event, which is aimed at uniting top Israeli talent and producers with major U.S. entertainment execs.
Among those signed up are MoviePlus Productions, which co-produced HBO drama Our Boys; Dori Media, which produced Apple TV+’s Losing Alice; Spiro Films, whose drama When Heroes Fly was picked up by Netflix; and Koda Communications, which made the scripted series that HBO’s Your Honor was based on.
Key screenwriters in attendance will include Nir Berger (Dead End), Omri Van Essen (Tehran) and Tehila Peter-Dansker. See the full lists below.

Exclusive: Netflix led an Israeli charm offensive late last month, with Emea Vice President, Head of Original Series, Larry Tanz, spending five days in the nation speaking to talent, execs and key funders in what is becoming a regulatory battleground.
Alongside a delegation including Anna Nagler, Director of Local Language Originals, Central and Eastern Europe, Deadline understands Tanz, who is based in Netflix’s office in The Netherlands, was in Israel from April 28 to May 3.
The visit was primarily focused on Netflix’s work supporting young Israeli talent but featured some tough conversations around regulation and potential streamer quotas, which Deadline revealed last month is a hot topic in Israel.

The Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film School is set to launch a Series Lab with the support of Netflix and Vis Social Impact, ViacomCBS International Studios’ new cause-driven production division. Hagai Levi, the creator of “In Treatment” and “The Affair,” has joined the new program as artistic advisor.
For the last decade, the film school has been hosting a popular film lab which was founded by Renen Schorr and has become a major curator of world cinema gems. Alumni include Hungarian helmer László Nemes, director of Oscar-winning “Son of Saul;” Croatian director Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović whose feature debut “Murina” won the Camera d’Or at Cannes; and Nadav Lapid who participated with “The Kindergarten Teacher.”
The program is now branching out to serialized television to help promising creators, writers and producers based in Israel connect with leading industry professionals. Mentors includes Daphna Levin and Noah Stollman (“Our Boys”).

YouTube has tapped its latest homegrown star to appear in an original series for premium subscription platform YouTube Red. Eva Gutowski, whose MyLifeAsEva lifestyle channel counts nearly 7 million subscribers, is set to star in a buddy comedy titled Me And My Grandma, Variety reports. The half-hour single-camera series will follow Gutowski and her sixty-something grandmother as she attempts to make a career in Hollywood. It will premiere in 2017.
And Me And My Grandma has a bold-faced showrunner attached: Jill Condon, who served as a producer on both Friends and The Cosby Show. The series will be executive produced by Gutowski and her managers, Adam Wescott and Scott Fisher of Select Management, through their entertainment company SelectNext. Annie Stamell, who served as a writer on a prior web series launched on Gutowski’s YouTube channel, How To Survive High School, will also produce.
