In 1964, Cooper traveled 40,000 miles and covered 20 states campaigning for the Republican ticket of Barry Goldwater and William E. Miller. Cooper had his own speaker's bureau and spoke extensively to social and political organizations.
Attended kindergarten at P.S. 30 in Whitestone, Queens, NY. The schoolhouse no longer exists, and the P.S. 30 designation was reassigned to a school in Rochdale Village, Queens.
He was cremated and his ashes returned to his family.
