This project will come to life in 1967 Murray the K in New York, the first 'Rock Spectacular' filmed for ABC New York. With Jim Morrison, The Doors, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, The Association, Spanky and Our Gang, Sam & Dave, Richie Havens. The project will be sponsored by New York Mayor John Lindsay and Hollywood star Joan Crawford.

Among the guests were De Hirsch Margolis, Shel Silverstein, Sylvia Topp, Bill Godden, Gloria Schoffel, James Baldwin, Howard Hart, Norman Mailer, Ted Joans, William Styron, Susan Sontag and Lester Blackiston.
