Played baseball in the major leagues from 1899 to 1917. He played with the Cincinnati Reds from 1899 to 1902, then the Detroit Tigers from 1903 to 1917.
For many years, Crawford and Ty Cobb did not speak to each other while
they played together on the Tigers.
Played primarily in right field.

Led the National League in home runs in 1901 (19) and 1908 (7).
In 1907 led the American League in runs scored (102).
Led the National League in triples in 1902 (22). Led the American
Laeague in triples in 1903 (25), 1910 (19), 1913 (23), 1914 (26), and
1915 (19).
Inducted into the Nebraska Baseball Hall of Fame in 2017.
