For nearly two decades, Jamie Lee Curtis has been an ardent supporter of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (Chla), the nonprofit pediatric medical center founded in 1901. Once again this year, she has partnered with the hospital for its eighth annual Make March Matter fundraising campaign. (All the businesses — from fashion to food, fitness to flowers — partnering to raise awareness and funds for Chla are listed on the dedicated Make March Matter site, as are special shopping events.)
At the kick-off on March 1, the SAG award-winning, Oscar-nominated Everything Everywhere All At Once star was presented with a personalized quilt, crafted by Chla patients in the hospital’s art therapy program as a token of appreciation. Just a few weeks away from The Night He Came Home and on the eve of the release of David Gordon Green's "Halloween Kills," star Jamie Curtis is here to give everyone one last scare. "Kills" is Green's second film in the resurrected, Blumhouse-backed "Halloween" franchise, a sequel to "Halloween" (2018). In it, Laurie Strode (Curtis) teams up with two other generations of Strode women to face down and give Michael Myers the sound defeat he's been needing since John Carpenter and Debra Hill originally conjured him to the big screen in 1978.

Jamie Lee Curtis has made quite the name for herself over her decades-long career, but there's another name she will sometimes hear at all the wrong moments. On Monday, Oct. 4, the 62-year-old Halloween Kills actress visited The Late Late Show, where she told host James Corden and band leader Reggie Watts that she used to go by "Jamie Curtis" before launching her career, and that she didn't include her middle name until it came to pursue her craft. After Watts asked is she ever went without the "Lee," the star replied, "Oh, yes—many, many, many, many times. That was who I was until I became an actor. I would never have called myself a three-name person. That felt...

Sequels are often maligned and rarely live up to the original film on which they are based. Many sequels are thrown together, poorly written, low budget attempts to capitalize on the success of the original. However, that’s not always the case. In rare cases, sequels have even gone on to be better than their predecessor. Below, you can take a look at some of the horror films that we would like to have seen a sequel made for.

Madhuri (Dixit) Nene and Anil Kapoor, two of the most successful actors of the Bollywood fraternity and one of the most sensuous couple who sizzled the big screen in the late 80′s and 90′s have decided to bury the hatchet between them and move on. Evidently, it was producer and director, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who stepped in as the arbitrator and sorted out their differences.
The couple which had one of the most sizzling chemistries on screen were not on good terms for over a year now; an aftermath of the Dhak- Dhak girl moving out of Anil’s desi version of Freaky Friday citing date reasons. Ever since then, the two of them haven’t been in touch.
Madhuri was offered to play Jamie Curtis Lee’s character for the remake of the 2003 comedy flick. Anil had a few other big names in mind for the role like Kirron Kher,...

Welcome to another edition of Production Notes, where we talk about all the interesting behind the scenes news from developments and productions around Hollywood. Today we have 2 directors lining up new projects in tinsel town, and the other is on some interesting details on the Miramax sale from Disney.
>> First off, Lee Daniels, who reached acclaim with his film, Precious, has decided that his next project will be The Butler. Deadline New York is reporting that the film is based off the true story of an African-American servant at the White House and that Daniels will direct the project. For a while now, Daniels had been attached to the film Selma - which revolves around the historic Civil Rights March lead by Martin Luther King, Jr. – but that project is reportedly still looking for funding, and Daniels would likely move forward with The Butler first if funding isn’t secured in the near future.

British director Tom Harper has been tapped to helm a new film project from Working Title called Lost For Words.
Harper was responsible for 2009′s The Scouting Book for Boys and has just finished duties on Channel 4′s This Is England ’86, a TV sequel to Shane Meadows’ This Is England.
Synopsis: Lost For Words centres on a movie star who is offered a role in a film by a Chinese director. The actor initially flirts with her translator before falling for the director.
The script for Lost For Words was penned by Richard and Jamie Curtis, and has been kicking around for a while, with various actors, including Tom Cruise and Hugh Grant, linked to roles within the film. It has reportedly now been reworked to suit a younger, predominately British cast.

MTV has posted a new clip from Rob Zombie's upcoming H2, which reimagines John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic, Halloween. It looks like Zombie is less interested in the atmospheric subtleties of Carpenter's movie and more interested in raw carnage (surprise, surprise). In addition, he lets the dreaded Michael Myers (played by Tyler Mane) show his face, unlike Carpenter's Myers, who was always masked.
Zombie's version stars Scout Taylor-Compton and Malcolm McDowell -- taking over roles played by Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence in the 1978 movie. Also in the movie are Brad Dourif, Margot Kidder, and even 'Weird Al' Yankovic (in an unspecified role).

Actor Hugh Grant has officially left Susanne Bier’s upcoming romantic comedy “Lost for Words,” according to Variety.
Grant was supposed to play a British actor offered a role in a movie directed by a Chinese filmmaker (Ziyi Zhang). Although he’s first attracted to the director’s flirtatious translator, he soon realizes he has stronger feelings for the helmer instead.
The trade says Grant left the project because of creative differences. One of Grant’s spokespeople told Variety the actor was not entirely satisfied with Jamie Curtis and Dan Mazer’s script.
Working title is now moving ahead without Grant. Too bad!
Grant was last seen in 2007’s “Music and Lyrics.” Some of his hit comedies include “Love Actually,” “Notting Hill” and “Four Weddings and a Funeral.”
Danish filmmaker Bier made her Hollywood debut with last year’s “Things We Lost in the Fire.”...

Ziyi Zhang is playing the director. Susanne Bier will be directing the film, and Working title partners Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are producing the film with a script written by Jamie Curtis and Dan Mazer.
Grant has been associated with Working title in several movies like Notting Hill, Love Actually and the cult classic Four Weddings and a Funeral. But this one just didn’t work out for him I guess.
