He was a composer and producer, known for L'amour en question (1978), Immoral Women (1979) and Une fille cousue de fil blanc (1977). He was married to Natacha Nikolajevic and Carole Tranchant. He died on March 7, 2021 in Touques, Normandy, France.

- Graduated from Ecole de L'Air.
- Grandson of Marcel Dassault, who founded Société des Avions Marcel Bloch, which makes fighter jets and private planes. Bloch changed his name to "Dassault" after World War II (which means "on the attack" in French), then the name of his company to "Avions Marcel Dassault".
- Composed the anthem for the French Parliament.
- Set the following world air speed records: New York to Paris (1977); New Orleans to Paris (1987); and Paris to Abu Dhabi (twice in 1996).
