- Warren B. Delaplain was born on December 6, 1904 in Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. He is known for The King and I (1956), Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959) and Five Weeks in a Balloon (1962). He died on April 9, 1966 in Reseda, California, USA.
- Worked at Hal Roach Studios as a sound engineer during the talkie transition period. Since Roach's shorts were distributed by MGM (which took a deliberately long wait and see attitude toward choosing a format) at the time, it was slow to adopt sound compared to other studios, producing a somewhat disproportionately large number of part-talkies or ones with music and sound effects only.
