A moon mission funded by a Japanese billionaire and powered by SpaceX technology will bring a group of artists on its lunar voyage. One of the creative people chosen for that out-of-this-world honor is Tim Dodd, a science creator known on YouTube as the Everyday Astronaut.
Dodd is a fitting choice for the mission known as dearMoon, since his YouTube career was inspired by it. In a video announcing his decision to join the dearMoon crew, Dodd said that he started making videos after SpaceX first announced its lunar initiative in 2017. San Francisco, Dec 10 (Ians) Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa has announced an eight-person private mission around the Moon, carrying artists and creative professionals on a SpaceX flight.
The crew will have DJ Steve Aoki, musician Choi Seung Hyun, choreographer and performer Yemi A.D., photographer Rhiannon Adam, YouTuber Tim Dodd, photographer Karim Iliya, filmmaker Brendan Hall, and actor Dev D. Joshi, with snowboarder Kaitlyn Farrington and dancer Miyu as backup crew members.
“I hope each and every one will recognise the responsibility that comes with leaving the Earth, traveling to the moon and back,” Maezawa said in a video making the announcement.
In 2018, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk revealed that Maezawa, Founder of Japan’s largest online clothing retailer Zozotown will be the first private customer to ride around the Moon on the company’s future rocket, the Big Falcon Rocket (Bfr).

Vertigo Releasing has secured UK-Ireland rights to William Stone’s UK comedy drama The Fence in a direct deal with the film’s producers.
Vertigo has acquired VOD, digital and physical rights to Stone’s feature directorial debut and plans to release later this year.
In the UK, the film is being self-released theatrically by the filmmakers through their production outfit, Red Anchor Films. After opening at two locations on September 2, the Showcase Cinemas chain will expand its run to at least 10 venues around the UK from September 16.
