Drysdale
- Composer
Drysdale has been Writing, Recording, Performing, Acting, Painting,
Composing, and running his very own, very cool record store/recording
studio - Neurotica Records, in Toronto, ON, Canada for several years.
He has been singer/saxophone player/songwriter for several all original
Toronto bands/projects including "3 Blue Eyes", "The Odd Fellows",
"Asphalt Potato" and "Mask-Era", headlining in almost every historic
original music venue in town, and performing opening sets for Spirit,
Blue Rodeo, Tad/Nirvana, Gene loves Jezebel, and The Gruesomes to name
but a few. He has also scored for film and jingles including
soundtracks for 2 feature length films by renowned documentary film
maker Alan Zweig, ("Vinyl" and "I. Curmudgeon"). He has produced and
mastered several projects for local artists and musicians and continues
a highly prolific level of writing/recording songs and orchestral works
in his own studio. Drysdale has written over five hundred songs and
instrumental pieces and many of them are available for preview and
download at the various Drysdale links provided on this page. Drysdale
is always open to collaboration with other interesting artists, as well
as producing/mastering/recording and composing, including
soundtrack/jingle work. Known for his dramatic stage presence and
interesting use of props, his live performances are striking,
mesmerizing and highly memorable to say the least. He has (2011) begun
the process of putting another live act together and will play suitable
venues in and around the Toronto area. The tiny samples of music soon
to be provided here are not posted because they are the latest or the
highest quality of his work but more as an slight overview of some
interesting moments covering a large period of time. Some tracks have
been taken from live cassettes, others somewhat lo-fi 4 track
porta-studio recordings and some in his current state of the art studio
set up. The songs will change from time to time including the debut of
some brand new pieces so as to keep things here interesting. Thanks so
much for checking out his IMDb page, and come back often and anytime.
