Joe Russo gained enough cache with "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame" that he's been able to pump out generic streaming action flicks unimpeded ever since. Not to be needlessly negative, but I've seen "The Gray Man" and I don't remember a single thing that happened in "The Gray Man." Russo has also penned two "Extraction" movies, which shot to the top of Netflix's most-watched charts but similarly felt as if they came and went without making all that much of an impression. All of which isn't too egregious, but Joe is also ready to welcome an AI-driven garbage future in which our films are produced entirely by machines.
In other words, I'm far from the biggest Joe Russo fan. But that doesn't mean I can't give the man his due when it comes to his Marvel work. Alongside his brother, Anthony, Joe is responsible for some of the...

Director Gareth Edwards will direct his Jurassic World sequel at Sky Studios Elstree this year ahead of its release in 2025.
Production is moving necessarily fast on the next Jurassic World film, with Gareth Edwards and his collaborators working to meet the pre-defined release date of July 2025 set by Universal Pictures.
We heard last month that filming is expected to get underway in July; in the meantime, Universal has confirmed that the sequel will film this year at Sky Studios Elstree in the UK.
The announcement was made in the wake of British chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s spring budget today (6th March) in which he announced some new tax breaks for film and TV studios as well as tax credits for UK-based indie films with budgets less than £15m.

When writing fiction of any sort, one thing to keep in mind is that most audiences really love dogs. A guy can murder multiple people, and viewers will have an easier time forgiving him for it than if he'd harmed a dog in any way. There's a reason why John Wick can keep the audience on his side after having a murder count in the triple digits; someone killed his dog once, so now we'll follow him to the end of the Earth. If he meets another character with a dog they love, no matter how antagonistic they may initially seem towards Wick, we know he'll form a trustworthy bond with them.
Even if the dog isn't intentionally killed, some viewers still refuse to watch any film that treats its dogs poorly. That's why the "Does the Dog Die?" website is still so popular — the death of a dog (Aka...

Unionized ‘Ridiculousness’ Staffers Leaflet Production In Effort to Start Negotiating First Contract
Early on Friday morning, 10 unionized creative consultants on the MTV comedy show Ridiculousness distributed leaflets at the show’s production location in Van Nuys in an effort to start negotiating a first contract.
The staffers unionized with the Writers Guild of America West after a National Labor Relations Board vote in September, but according to the WGA West, the production has yet to respond to their attempts to begin negotiating a contract. “We are fighting for a fair contract with improved compensation and benefits for the 336 episodes of Ridiculousness we help to create annually,” the leaflets handed out on Friday state. “We are currently compensated at a rate well below our peers writing for WGA-covered shows like Ridiculousness. While our workloads have increased substantially, our compensation has been stagnant.”

Alexandra Burke and Natey Jones in Pretty Red Dress
Dionne Edwards’ directorial feature debut, Pretty Red Dress, tells the story of Travis (Natey Jones), who returns to his wife Candice (Alexandra Burke) and daughter Kenisha (Temilola Olatunbosun), having served time. When Candice, who has an audition to play Tina Turner in a new musical, eyes a red dress in a shop window, Travis buys it for her. Something strange happens – Travis finds himself drawn to the dress. He begins wearing it secretly, but why? To feel pretty, he tells his daughter when she discovers him crossdressing. Travis’ exploration of his feminine side changes the family’s dynamic in unexpected ways, and challenges his masculine identity in their urban South London community.
In conversation with Eye For Film, Edwards and Jones discussed the deeper meanings of their crossdressing story, how it was driven by a search for answers, and their interest...

Harare, June 22 (Ians) Scott Edwards played a captain’s knock of 67 not out and helped Netherlands start their campaign in Mens Odi World Cup qualifiers with a five-wicket victory over USA in their Group A match at Takashinga Sports Club, here on Thursday.
After restricting USA to 211/8, Netherlands chased down the target with five wickets in hand and 40 balls remaining. Supporting Edwards was Teja Nidamanuru with his fine 58, as the duo shared a 72-run stand for the fifth wicket, followed by the Netherlands skipper stitching an unbroken 59-run partnership with Logan van Beek to take the Dutch over the line.
Barring a short spell of play when USA bowlers got through three quick Netherlands middle-order wickets, they were never quite in the contest to challenge Edwards & Co. Ali Khan marked his return in style as he pulled off a good catch to dismiss Vikramjit Singh in the fourth over.

Harare, June 20 (Ians) Impeccable performance by Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza helped Zimbabwe chase down a target of 316 in merely 40.5 overs against Netherlands, while Nepal changed gears towards the end of their innings to beat the USA with 42 balls to spare on the third day of the Icc Cricket World Cup Qualifiers here.
Williams struck a 58-ball 91 while Raza hammered an unbeaten 102 off 54 deliveries to ensure Zimbabwe’s second consecutive win in the tournament. This was their third-highest successful chase in ODIs, with Raza reaching the fastest-ever Odi century for Zimbabwe when he hit the winning runs with a six. With this victory, the Chevrons have further boosted their claim for a place in the Super Six.
In pursuit of 316, Zimbabwe’s response was led by their skipper, Craig Ervine. He hit nine fours during a quality knock of 50 and added 81 runs for the first wicket. Ervine, however, fell in...

Milt Larsen, who wrote for the game show Truth or Consequences for nearly two decades and co-founded The Magic Castle in Hollywood, died Sunday of natural causes in Los Angeles, his family announced. He was 92.
Larsen produced TV specials for ABC, CBS and NBC and wrote songs with Richard Sherman, the Oscar winner who partnered with his late brother, Robert, to create tunes for such Disney classics as Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Jungle Book.
He also was the creator and consultant for the $50 million Caesars Magic Empire at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
In 1963, Larsen and his late brother, Bill, founded The Magic Castle in a 1909 French Chateau mansion on Franklin Avenue. With its many stages, labyrinthine corridors and old-fashioned decor, the place would become a renowned private club for magicians.

The BBC has reportedly issued letters gauging interest for voluntary redundancy to its top presenting stars, sending shockwaves through the corporation.
The move is thought to be part of a cost-saving mission by the corporation, which includes reducing spending in its news division.
On Saturday night (15 April), the Mail reported that the BBC’s interim managing editor of news and current affairs, Philippa Busby, has written to all its senior TV and radio presenters asking them to consider voluntary redundancy.
The publication reported that Huw Edwards, Clive Myrie and Sophie Raworth were among those to receive letters. The Independent has contacted their representatives for comment.
On Twitter, Edwards said the move was a “standard invitation to consider applying for voluntary redundancy” and “nothing more”.

King Charles III and Princess Diana had a famously tumultuous marriage prior to their 1996 divorce. However, the pair did have their moments. Among them, a 1987 photo where, according to a body language expert, they looked like a “unit.”
Charles and Diana looked ‘focused in one energy and one emotion’ with identical body language
Examining a 1987 photo of the then-Prince and Princess of Wales, body language expert Traci Brown noticed an unusual sight. Rather the absence of the king and Diana’s more common inharmonious body language.

The film’s events are set in motion by a disastrous blind date on the part of Emma (Hall) at an upscale Chicago restaurant. The beautiful twenty-something subsequently strikes up an essential conversation with Jack (Kelsey), a happily married, middle-aged and very successful businessman who is seated at another table, having just finished up a business dinner. Emma and Jack thereafter stumble into an intense one-night stand that turns into something more complicated and destructive than either of them could have expected.
Edwards will direct from a script by Frederick Mensch (HBO Films’ Nightingale), also co-producing along with producers Phil Lee, Darryl Manuel and David Kelsey and Heather Sederquist’s Big Wheel Entertainment.

Was Lisa Rinna fired from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, or did she quit? According to former Rhobh co-star Kathryn Edwards, she wouldn’t be surprised if Rinna left on her own.
Edwards believes that even though Rinna flipped off Bravo fans when they booed her at BravoCon, she was still hurt by all the hate. And she likely needed a break from the toxicity.
Kathryn thinks Lisa Rinna would own up to being fired
“She’d be like, ‘Hell yeah, I got fired,'” Edwards said on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast. “And I don’t think she would be the person that would, knowing what the people at Bravo and NBC knew, she was fired are sitting there lying to everybody.”

Frank Skinner tearfully revealed on his radio show that his former co-host Gareth Richards is fighting for his life.
The broadcaster broke down in tears on Saturday (1 April) while telling Absolute Radio listeners that Richards was involved in a “very big road accident” earlier this week.
He raised the subject at the end of his show, saying: “One thing you have to learn to do in this line of work is to put on a false front and the show must go on, and that’s what happened this morning.”
Fighting back tears, Skinner said: “Gareth was in a very big road accident this week and it’s not looking great for Gareth. He is in hospital and he’s fighting but it’s not looking great.”
Richards, who is a comedian, was reportedly in a serious collision near Heathrow airport on the M25.

Welcome to this review of Impact Wrestling’s Sacrifice pay-per-view, which took place at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. As usual this PPV starts with not one but Two special “Countdown” preview match – the first saw Eddie Edwards defeat Bhupinder Gujjar and the second saw Rosemary defeat KiLynn King… With those out of the way, let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Mike Bailey def. Jonathan Gresham The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
It’s a stalemate in the early going as both men match each other’s offense move for move. Gresham puts his submission game on display, tying up Bailey. This only fires him up as Bailey delivers a flurry of kicks, then hits a springboard Moonsault to the outside. Back in the ring, Gresham regains control and hits a running clothesline for two. Bailey comes back with a running Shooting Star for a near fall of his own.
