Kathy Lingg has been promoted to executive vp drama development at Paramount Network Television. Lingg oversees all drama series development for the studio, which has a midseason drama, Keen Eddie, slated to launch early next year on Fox. Lingg has spent the past 10 years at Paramount. She signed on as senior vp movies and miniseries in 1992 and was named senior vp drama two years later. She reports to Paramount Television Production president Garry Hart. "Her ability to identify talent and collaborate with some of the best writers and producers in television has helped fuel much of our success," Hart said in announcing the promotion. Before joining Paramount, Lingg spent seven years as senior vp production at TriStar Pictures. In the early 1980s, she also worked in production at Universal Pictures and as a creative executive at Martin Elfand Prods. and Richard Roth Prods.
