Borat is back. Sacha Baron Cohen has revived his Kazakhstani character Borat for a new film in which he continues to journey across the U.S. and even fight the coronavirus…even if it’s trying to smash it with a frying pan.
In the first full trailer for the film, which debuts on Amazon Prime Video on October 23, he also disguises himself as Donald Trump at the 2020 Cpac convention — and interrupts a speech by Vice President Mike Pence at the annual gathering of conservatives.
The disguise was necessary. The first “Borat” film became such a wild success in 2006 that Baron Cohen eventually vowed that he would retire the character. And sure enough, as Borat tries to travel America this time and spread the word of his home country, he’s a bit too recognizable. Cohen has to cover his head with a paper bag to try to avoid his now massive fame…...

WarnerMedia continues to build on the strength of truTV’s flagship franchise Impractical Jokers. The company has ordered a third season of TBS’ The Misery Index and 10 additional episodes of truTV’s remotely shot Impractical Jokers: Dinner Party. Additionally, truTV’s first feature length film Impractical Jokers: The Movie will make its streaming premiere on HBO Max on September 1.
“The Impractical Jokers franchise continues to deliver each and every time,” said Brett Weitz, General Manager of TNT, TBS and truTV. “The plan is continue to grow their business from an incredibly solid foundation and deliver to a passionate fanbase that’s second to none.”
The popular line-up of programming featuring Joe Gatto, James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn and Sal Vulcano, collectively known as comedy troupe The Tenderloins, has been a ratings draw across the board. Production is set to resume late this month on season 9 of Impractical Jokers starring The Tenderloins.

truTV’s Impractical Jokers head to the big screen for a feature-length film that will see the boys in comedic competition.
Impractical Jokers has been building a fanbase on truTV, TBS and TNT for nearly a decade, with the consistently high-ranked cable series – launched back in 2011 – currently thriving in its eighth season. Yet, it appears that the show’s perennially prurient pranksters are making the jump to the big screen with Impractical Jokers: The Movie, which, serving as the first-ever film from truTV, is coming to theaters soon.
Chris Henchy directed the film, which focuses on the improvisation-heavy quartet of Jokers themselves – members of comedy troupe The Tenderloins – in James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano. Indeed, the boys are clearly upgrading their temerity-teeming tomfoolery to a grandiose scale for cinemas in early 2020.

Television’s Impractical Jokers take their hidden-camera dares (and their own obvious delight at the results) to the big screen with truTV’s first-ever feature-length film Impractical Jokers: The Movie, opening in select theaters nationwide on Friday, February 21, 2020.
As shown in the film’s first trailer, Impractical Jokers: The Movie, directed by Chris Henchy and produced by Funny or Die, stars the truTV series cast – Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, Sal Vulcano, Joe Gatto, collectively known as The Tenderloins – as four lifelong friends and comedians in a fictional story of a humiliating high school mishap from the early 1990s.
The movie is an extension of the Impractical Jokers series, currently in its eighth season on truTV. The movie will feature appearances from Paula Abdul, Jaden Smith, and Joey Fatone as it combines the fictional narrative with real life footage of the “impractical jokes” and...
