- Gil Evans was born on May 13, 1912 in Toronto, Canada. He was a composer, known for The Salton Sea (2002), Absolute Beginners (1986) and The Color of Money (1986). He was married to Anita Powell and Lilian Grace. He died on March 20, 1988 in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
