As soon as Saw X, the tenth entry in the Saw franchise (you can read our review Here), was released last September, franchise producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules were already talking about the potential of a Saw XI. The official announcement came in December, along with a release date: September 27th. But over the last few months, the filmmakers have come to realize they need some extra time to make Saw XI something special, so the release has been pushed back a year, to September 26, 2025. So Lionsgate has unveiled a teaser trailer asking fans to play the waiting game, and you can check it out in the embed above.

As soon as Saw X, the tenth entry in the Saw franchise (you can read our review Here), was released a couple months ago, franchise producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules were already talking about the potential of a Saw XI. Yesterday, the new sequel was officially announced, complete with a release date: Saw XI will be reaching theatres on September 27, 2024. When fans saw that announcement, they understandably jumped to the conclusion that the new film is going to be written by the team of Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg, since they wrote not only Saw X but also Jigsaw and Spiral: From the Book of Saw. But, as it turns out, Goldfinger and Stolberg are not coming back for this one.

The Undertaker is 54-years-old. Bill Goldberg is 52. So naturally, the two young wrestlers main-evented “WWE Super Showdown” in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
You can probably see where this is going. The Jeddah event’s final match was an absolute disaster filled with botched moves — some of which could have caused serious injury to the two legends.
But don’t take our word for how bad the highly touted first-time-ever bout was — the WWE Universe on Twitter is already calling Goldberg-Undertaker “the worst match of the year,” among other very un-superlative superlatives.

We caught up recently with I Spit on Your Grave reboot series director Steven R. Monroe to garner his thoughts on the polarized critical response to the CineTel Films/Anchor Bay Entertainment release of his feature I Spit On Your Grave 2, as well as on the future of the franchise, and more. Monroe, whose extensive directorial credits include the genre features House of 9 (2005), It Waits (2005), and the upcoming Cerina Vincent-vehicle MoniKa, as well as the 2010 Sarah Butler-starring remake of Meir Zarchi’s controversial 1978 rape/revenge feature I Spit On Your Grave, proved refreshing in his honesty in regards to what drew him to directing the sequel, as well as his understanding of the polarized response to it, and his exasperation with a faction of the blogosphere, among other things. Having premiered at London’s FILM4 FrightFest this past August with a subsequent release to Blu-ray, DVD...

Screenwriter Thomas Fenton (Saw IV, I Spit On Your Grave 2) is the latest guest in our Q&A series. The horror writer took time to share his experience working on I Spit On Your Grave 2 and offers advice to aspiring screenwriters:
Can you tell our readers a bit about your previous work that led up to you taking on I Spit On Your Grave 2?
Years ago I wrote a script called Prodigal Son – it was set up at Beacon Pictures with Twisted Films producing. Ultimately, the deal fell through but that put me on the Saw radar. It was my work on that franchise that led to work on IS2.
How did you become involved on the sequel to I Spit On Your Grave? Was this a story that you pitched to the producers or you were hired specifically to work on an idea they had?

So it’s that time of year again. October. The trees are changing, the sky is darkening and Halloween is just around the corner. It seems only fitting then, that horror movies are released in large volume and horror fans around the world are wetting their gills with what is on offer.
A few years back we were treated to a remake of Day of the Woman or I Spit on Your Grave and it was a very good remake that while it wasn’t for everyone did a good job at updating the premise and adding some much needed gore to the mix. I was surprised, to be honest, to hear they were putting out a sequel though, but here we are.

Stark, twisted & brutally shocking – that was probably the best description of Steven Monroe‘s 2010 remake of the controversial 1978 cult film I Spit On Your Grave. The good news for all horror fans out there is that this spooky story is still not over, and we should all get ready for I Spit On Your Grave 2! As you already see from our title– Monroe will be in charge for the sequel as well!
At this moment we know that Saw IV writer Thomas Fenton is responsible for the movie’s screenplay that will, this time, center on a beautiful New York model, named Holly, who gets more than she bargained for when she rocks out to, what she believes, will be a simple photo shoot.
You already guess the rest of the story – Holly is raped, tortured and kidnapped to a foreign country, essentially left to die. She survives, like in the first movie,...

A writer has been selected for the sequel to Steven R. Monroe’s remake of the loathed 1978 exploitation feature, I Spit On Your Grave according to Bloody-Disgusting. Taking to the task of crafting the follow up story is Thomas Fenton, who is best known for writing the Saw IV script. Not much else in the way of details are being disclosed at this point, but hey: just knowing a sequel to Monroe’s kick ass retooling of a rather disgusting original film is on the way is enough to force my blood pressure to rise.

'Saw IV' scribe Thomas Fenton has been tapped for writing responsibilities on announced horror sequel 'I Spit on Your Grave 2'. The writer has officially joined the production with very little else at this early stage known about the project. The movie follows (or may even prequelise) the Steven R. Monroe directed 2010 remake of 'I Spit on Your Grave', based on the original - and brutal - revenge horror tale directed and written by Meir Zarchi. The remake starred the gorgeous Sarah Butler but its unclear at this point if she'll be involved in the sequel if indeed director Monroe will be returning. Butler herself can next be seen in Christopher Roosevelt's new horror thriller 'The Demented'...

Apparently the reboot of I Spit On Your Grave did well enough to warrant a sequel, and according to Bloody Disgusting, Thomas Fenton has been hired to write a sequel. There’s no information beyond that, as the project is in the earliest stages of conception, but it’s easy to legitimately speculate that a second installment might feature more rape and more revenge. Felton has a story credit on Saw IV and did work on (but was not credited with) Chain Letter. He’s also currently working on a biopic of John DeLorean for Nine/8 Entertainment. I Spit On Your Grave 2 might be the first major chance for us to see his writing talent on raw display, The production team is most likely looking to capitalize on re-invigorated name recognition, but it would be a cool nod if they called the new movie Day of the Woman. Just throwin’ it out there.

The race to make a movie based on the life of John DeLorean has been a slog, not a sprint. During a span of nearly three decades, there have been books, TV movies, documentaries and a raft of failed feature projects and unproduced screenplays left by the side of the road.
Now producers Steve Lee Jones and David Permut think they have the vehicle that can reach the finish line, one fueled by a screenplay from an Emmy winner, the unearthing of 27-year-old FBI surveillance tapes, consulting agreements with DeLorean's brother Charles and his former lawyer and, perhaps most importantly, the only official involvement of his estate and its executor, DeLorean's fourth and final wife.
For years, the estate had spurned numerous overtures until Jones came calling. He was given an exclusive option in September 2009, according to attorney William Courtney, who represents the estate and executor Sally DeLorean.

Who knows just how many projects have gone into development with the intention of telling the story of automaker John DeLorean (the creator of the car that became, arguably, the most famous cinematic time machine ever made) but haven't exactly been active in development. Now it sounds like one might finally get made, as THR reports DeLorean's daughter, Kathryn, is partnering with Nine/8 Entertainment, Evolution Entertainment and agent-turned-producer Michael Menchel to bring a script from Thomas Fenton (Saw IV) to the big screen that, apparently, "is the definitive John DeLorean movie." But sadly, no time travel. Several DeLorean projects have been gestating (even a documentary, Back to the DeLorean, with Kathryn's support on the way) but the surviving daughter of the Dmc-12 legacy says these are the guys to get it right. Known as the car in the "Back to the Future" series of films, DeLorean's Dmc-12 stainless-steel, gull-wing-doored vehicle was made in the early 1980s. The car designer known for designing the Pontiac Gto, closed his company after building less than 10,000 cars and was arrested in 1982, charged with smuggling cocaine to raise money.
