Composer and songwriter ("Until Tomorrow"), educated at Yale University with a Bachelor of Music degree. He joined ASCAP in 1954, and his other popular-song compositions include "Lady", "Romance", "At Evening" and "May Night".
His song "Seeing Voices" was recorded by Michael Jackson in 1999. It is about sign language and was written about his son who was deaf.
