Marvel is making theirs Cleveland again, returning to the city that hosted "The Avengers" for another one of their upcoming films: "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."
The Greater Cleveland Film Commission has announced that the upcoming "Captain America" sequel will shoot in Cleveland. An exact start date beyond "next year" hasn't been released, but Chris Evans has previously indicated that he'll start shooting in March.

Cleveland, Oh – (Sept. 28, 2012) The Greater Cleveland Film Commission today announced that Marvel Studios will film portions of Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier in Cleveland, Ohio. Set for release by The Walt Disney Studios in 2014, the movie is a sequel to the 2011 hit Captain America: The First Avenger starring Chris Evans. Marvel Studios will film stage work for the production in the studio’s home state of California.

The Avengers completed its last night of filming in Cleveland at 5am this morning, with the production moving to New York for the final few scenes. Before that took place there was time for Scarlett Johansson to film scenes at an old warehouse on Ashland Road near Longfellow Avenue. Another scene also took place on Walnut Avenue at East Ninth Street, with a bus and taxi crushed during the destruction. Production launches in April and officials in Ohio this week announced that film crews would be coming to Cleveland.
The comic book blockbuster is being shot mainly in New Mexico, which has just put out a casting call for extras, and also partly in New York.
The Greater Cleveland Film Commission, working in conjunction with the City of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County and the State of Ohio, issued a statement saying Marvel Studios would be filming some of the superhero adventure in Cleveland.
It will be the largest feature film ever made in Ohio, as well as the largest Marvel Studios production to date. The movie will employ hundreds of Ohio-based cast and crew, and use local service and supply vendors. Pre-production is already under way with principal photography scheduled to take place from April to September.
