- Frank Fox was born on July 25, 1902 in Bistritz, Austria-Hungary [now Bistritza, Romania]. He was a composer and actor, known for Auf der grünen Wiese (1953), Aufruhr im Damenstift (1941) and Hearts in Love (1938). He died in 1965.
- He also was active for the radio and the cabaret Simpl.
- Frank Fox made his debut as a film composer in 1930 when he wrote the music for the first Austrian sound film called "In der Theateragentur" (1930). Afterwards he became a music director for the Tobias-Sascha-Filmindustry and soon concentrated to the film music.
- He founded his own dancing orchestra which played in Vienna.
- Besides the filmmusic Frank Fox also wrote operettas like "Broadway" and "Es klopf mein Herz bum-bum", pop music and Viennese songs.
- He studied at the Academy for music and fine arts in Vienna from 1919 to 1921 and after his study he took over the job of a bandmaster.
