- Among Fritzell's credits was that of "created by" on the popular late-1960s sitcom The Doris Day Show. Since the series was green-lit and developed with neither the knowledge nor participation of its star, Fritzell worked directly for Day's husband and manager Martin Melcher, and his work went unseen by Day until she found out about the project after Melcher's unexpected death in April, 1968.
