The One Legged Song and Dance Man is Back After a sold out show back in February, Evan Ruggiero will return to 54 Below on August 14. Joining him for this night of music will be Broadway Veteran Jackie Burns IfThen, Wicked, Hair, Olivia Polci Foolerie, 54 Below Solo Show, Bergen Pac Soloist, and Kyle Wilder Black Out w Savion Glover, New Jersey Tap Ensemble, Juba Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance. Evan's band feature's long standing members Ray Carega, Justin Garcia, and Brendan Daily, and introducing Will Dougherty, Joe Gullace, Frank Scillieri, and Rich Cush. Not only will Evan sing his favorite rock and musical theatre songs, but he will be debuting some of his own songs from his new original musical he has been working on called My Champagne Year.

In the last seven days, we've been hearing a lot about the DRD4 gene, dubbed by the media as the "slut gene," that supposedly explains why certain people are likely to have lots of sex, especially of the adulterous variety.
In a study published last week in the journal PLoS One, a group of researchers, led by Justin Garcia at Binghamton University in New York, took 181 undergraduate-aged subjects, asked them about their sex lives, and ran a DNA test to see which version of the DRD4 gene they had: the 7R+ or the 7R- kind.

The lead singer of San Francisco, California metal band Early Graves has died in a horror car crash in Oregon. Makh Daniels was killed in the early hours of Monday morning, August 2 when the van the group was traveling in left a local freeway route in Medford and rolled over on the roadside.
Local reports claim Daniels, 28, was ejected from the vehicle because he was not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the van, Justin Garcia, is alleged to have fallen asleep at the wheel as he drove the band and members of rockers The Funeral Pyre after a show in Eugene, Oregon on Sunday, August 1.
