Hotel Mumbai received the accolade for best feature film production design at the 2019 Australian Production Design Guild Awards held at Melba Spiegeltent, Collingwood, on Sunday night.
The other feature film honorees were Judy & Punch, Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan, Aquaman and Ladies in Black.
The winners in the TV categories were Tidelands, A Place to Call Home season 6 and Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries.
The Twist won the screen animation design prize at the show compered by Adam Elliot, the Academy Award winning creator of Harvie Krumpet.
Grant Slotboom, construction manager of Illusions, was presented with the Canal Road Film Centre Artisan Award for Lifetime Achievement for Screen.

Richard Roxburgh, Emma Booth, Miriam Margolyes, Joel Jackson, Deborah Mailman and newcomers Daisy Axon and Wesley Patten are starring in H is for Happiness, a family drama/comedy which marks the feature debut of theatre director John Sheedy.
Adapted from Barry Jonsberg’s children’s book ‘My Life As An Alphabet’ by writer/producer Lisa Hoppe, the film is now shooting in the Wa coastal town of Albany, produced by Julie Ryan, Tenille Kennedy and Hoppe.
Perth-based Axon, who made her debut in Mirrah Foulkes’ Judy and Punch, plays Candice Phee, a 12-year-old with boundless optimism and a unique view of the world, who is determined to bring her dysfunctional family back from the brink.
Patten, who won the best young actor award at this year’s St Kilda Film Festival for his performance in Sheedy’s short film Mrs McCutcheon, plays Douglas Benson, a character from another dimension.

1967, the height of the Red Scare. Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt is embroiled in a power struggle after discovering his spymaster has illegally investigated and exposed Red sympathisers embedded within Holt's administration.
That's the premise for an ambitious new Australian short film set in the period leading up to the Holt's famous disappearance at Victoria's Cheviot Beach.
The Defector is written, directed and produced by Scott Mannion and executive produced by Antonia Barnard, Nick Cole, Greg Dick and Simon de Bruyn, who describes the short as "an Australian spy film made to world class standards."

Underbelly: Razor took home two key awards at the Australian Production Design Guild Awards last night.
The ceremony was hosted by Academy Award winner Adam Eliot with presenters At the Movies’ Margaret Pomeranz, Rod Allan, CEO of Docklands Studios Melbourne and Simon Wood, designer of video game La Noire.
The Underbelly series’ production designer Patrick Reardon and art director Scott Bird won the best Design for a Television Drama while Louise Wakefield won for Best Costume design for Screen.
