The students of Pacific Coast Academy are back in the first trailer for “Zoey 102,” Paramount+’s sequel film to the Nickelodeon series “Zoey 101.”
The original series followed the students at Pca, a distinguished school in Malibu. “Zoey 101” highlighted the female characters as they were the first class to grace the boarding school that used to be an all-boys academy. “Zoey 102” reunites its original characters in the present day, long removed from their adolescent years at Pca. In true revival fashion, Zoey Brooks gets together with the rest of her classmates to attend Quinn and Logan’s wedding, bringing her group of friends back together once more.
“Zoey 102” will feature original stars Jamie Lynn Spears as Zoey, Erin Sanders as Quinn Pensky, Sean Flynn as Chase Matthews, Matthew Underwood as Logan Reese, Christopher Massey as Michael Barrett, Abby Wilde as Stacey Dillsen and...

Despite representing Germany at this year’s Academy Awards for best international feature, “All Quiet on the Western Front” writer-director Edward Berger doesn’t feel national pride for the country.
“I don’t feel that because of the history,” Berger tells Variety. “I could never say I’m proud to be German. Those words don’t fit into our mouths, and rightly so. I would have a hard time thinking I would represent the country because I can’t speak for the entire country.”
On this episode of Variety‘s Awards Circuit Podcast, Berger discusses “All Quiet on the Western Front’s” nine Oscar noms — the second most of the year — and employing the most artisans of any non-English movie in history. Finally, he shares why he feels a responsibility to accurately portray Germany’s role in some of humanity’s most devastating wars. Listen to the full podcast below.

John Lennon wasn’t the biggest fan of The Beatles. He said his life felt like a trap because of the band, and the public notoriety became a major nuisance when Yoko Ono entered his life. The English media — and many Fab Four fans — didn’t warm up to Ono, and it left a sour taste in his mouth. He and Ono moved to New York after The Beatles broke up. John regretted not making a decision that could “have made a million pounds” for the songwriter.

John and Ringo Starr maintained a close relationship during their time with The Beatles and beyond.
Ringo’s apartment was the location for John and Yoko’s naked photos that appeared on their Two Virgins album cover.

Austin Butler’s agent told him he would need to gain weight to play the older version of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis.” “I heard that Ryan Gosling when he was going to do ‘The Lovely Bones,’ had microwaved Häagen-Dazs and would drink it,” Butler tells Variety. “So I started doing that. I would go get two dozen doughnuts and eat them all. I really started to pack on some pounds. It’s fun for a week, and then you feel awful about yourself. But we were planning on shooting chronologically in the beginning. That quickly went out the window with Covid. It was just impossible.”
On this week’s episode of the Variety Awards Circuit Podcast, Butler sits down to discuss receiving his first Oscar nomination for best actor. He also discusses renting an apartment after the Warner Bros. corporate cards were shut off following the Covid shutdown.

Warner Bros. has released a couple of new clips from their upcoming new DC animated film Batman: Hush. The first clip is called “Batman Vs. Bane” so, of course, you are going to get to see the two characters brutally fight! The second clip is called “Cat Chase” which features Batman chasing down Catwoman.
I’m a big fan of this Batman storyline which was originally written by Jeph Loeb with art by Jim Lee. I liked the first trailer that was released and there’s a good chance this will be a decent adaptation that fans will enjoy. Here’s the synopsis for those of you not familiar with the story:
Batman: Hush centers on a mysterious new villain known only as Hush, who uses a rogues’ gallery of villains to destroy Batman’s crime-fighting career as well as Bruce Wayne’s personal life, which has been further complicated...

Now that the likes of Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, The Killing Joke and Under the Red Hood are out of the way, it’s long overdue that Batman: Hush be adapted as an animated film. Not only does the source material remain my favorite comic book story arc to feature the Caped Crusader, but it also serves as a perfect jumping on point because it includes so many essential characters.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait much longer for it to arrive, as the flick will be made available digitally beginning on July 2oth, with 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack and Blu-ray Combo Pack releases set to follow on August 13th. Additionally, it’ll also hit the DC Universe streaming service on the latter date given.

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for their upcoming new DC animated film Batman: Hush. I love this Batman story and it’s great to see that it’s finally getting an animated film adaptation. It looks like it’ll be a pretty solid movie. I liked what I saw in this first trailer.
The original story was written by Jeph Loeb and it featured art by Jim Lee penciling, Scott Williams inking, and Alex Sinclair coloring. Here’s the synopsis for those of you not familiar:
Batman: Hush centers on a mysterious new villain known only as Hush, who uses a rogues’ gallery of villains to destroy Batman’s crime-fighting career as well as Bruce Wayne’s personal life, which has been further complicated by a relationship with Selina Kyle/Catwoman.
The film will be voiced by a slew of DC veterans as well as some new blood.

If you were to ask me which comic book movie I’m anticipating most in 2019, I’d have two answers for you. The obvious one is Joker because it’s being released theatrically in October, but overall, Batman: Hush takes the cake for me. It may be animated and direct-to-video, sure, but I’ve long waited for my favorite story featuring the Caped Crusader to be adapted to film.
Whetting the appetites of myself and those familiar with the source material is that of the first trailer promoting the flick, which can be viewed at the top of this article. To be honest, I’m quite proud of what I’m seeing. In reality, you can’t cram everything from a story which spanned twelve issues into one feature-length film, but the finer points are there.

The next DC Universe Original Movie will be an animated adaptation of classic 2000s graphic novel Hush, originally from writer Jeph Loeb and artist Jim Lee. The story sees the Dark Knight confronting a mysterious new villain called Hush and features a number of friends and foes from the DC mythos. It’s ripe to be brought to the screen, then, and now Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released a first look at the movie.

Batman: Hush is finally receiving an animated adaptation in 2019.
The beloved Batman: Hush storyline from the comics is being adapted into an animated film by DC.
The original story, which was written by Jeph Loeb and drawn by Jim Lee, follows a mysterious villain known only as Hush who seems intent on stalking Batman and ruining his life. Unfortunately for the Caped Crusader, it seems that all of the city's most notorious villains have picked this moment to go after the Dark Knight as well. To make matters worse, a series of incidents brings a lot of "old friends" back into Batman's life just as he is trying to explore whether or not he and Catwoman have a future together.
Hush is famous for its mysterious, noir-tinged story, some truly incredible moments in the Batman mythology, and for Lee's amazing artwork. Indeed, some consider Hush...

Plot:
After Batman goes missing, Dick Grayson takes up his mantle as He and Damian Wayne have to protect Gotham City, while also trying to find the original Batman. Two new allies, Batwoman and Batwing arrive to help investigate Batman’s disappearance.
Verdict:
So here we are with another ‘Original’ movie from DC, who were once a Juggernaut when it came to releasing a constant stream of excellent animated movies that eclipsed the majority of DC’s live-action catalogue. But it does appear (apart from a few films like Jl: Gods and Monsters and Batman: Assault on Arkham) that things are not going to change any time soon (especially with how Justice League vs.
