- Traveled with daughter Susan Gordon to the Library of Congress in 2007 to view Susan's TV performance of Miracle on 34th Street (1959) for the first time. Flora had been in the TV studio in NYC with Susan the one time it aired live on NBC in November 1959.
- Was one of the first women admitted into the Directors Guild of America (DGA). Was an original member of the Women's Committee of the Directors Guild of America.
