Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy is a four-hour documentary film that chronicles the entire Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, as well as chronicling the rise of New Line Cinema.
Co-directed by Daniel Farrands and Andrew Kasch, it presents the kinds of in-depth yet light-hearted gems fans care about, not the paint-by-numbers stuff your average studio-produced Blu-ray extra disc typically regurgitates. It was made by genre fans who approach it from a place of love, but more importantly by filmmakers who understand that nothing is precious and nothing is off-limits. Heather Langenkamp, who played the ultimate final girl Nancy Thompson in three of the Nightmare films, serves as executive producer and narrator.
In exploring the Elm Street saga, the film presents photographs, storyboards, conceptual art, publicity materials, archival documents, and behind-the-scenes footage that have never been previously shared. it expands on Wes Craven's motivations in creating the first...

Smosh, the banner by which BFFs Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla have been entertaining online video audiences and Pokemon enthusiasts since YouTube’s inception, has amassed over 1.3 billion views and over 4.5 million subscribers on the world’s largest video sharing site in the past six years. That’s one heck of a fan base. Hecox, Padilla, Smosh-owner Alloy Digital, Smosh President and Alloy Digital Evp Barry Blumberg, and the world’s largest video sharing site believe that fan base wants to watch cartoons in addition to the familiar erratic comedy and user-driven reality stylings of two talented young twentysomethings. Shut Up! Cartoons is Smosh’s soon-to-debut animated YouTube channel, which is one of the 96-or-so that make up the first round of the YouTube Originals Initiative. It was conceived of by Blumberg, who, before joining the Smosh team back in 2006, was responsible for the development and production of notable...

From 1428 films and the crew who brought you the Friday the 13th documentary His Name was Jason, Never Sleep Again is the mammoth four hour documentary that details the Nightmare on Elm Street series, warts and all.
Wonderfully narrated by Heather Langenkamp (Who portrayed Nancy from Nightmare 1 and 3), and featuring unique interviews with over 100 cast and crew members spanning all eight films, this documentary is an informative and detailed look at the making of each film in the series, covering the origins of Freddy himself to the oddball entry Freddy Vs. Jason to the short-lived television series Freddy’s Nightmares.
The impressive interviews are insightful, revealing, candid and very captivating, covering the likes of on-set clashes, production stories and hiccups and discussions on that intriguing homoerotic subtext from Nightmare II.
There are just too much great stories here that even the most die-hard fan are...

One flick we've had our eye on for a very long time is James Morgart's delightful, gory, abd really friggin' weird flick Won Ton Baby. If you haven't been keeping up with this one, click on the title in the above taxonomy and do so immediately as it looks nothing short of crazed!
While we all wait for the feature film to bring on the lunacy Morgart and company have partnered with the incredible stop-motion artist Michael Granberry ("Robot Chicken", Never Sleep Again) to bring us an animated tale of terror featuring the titular character called Midnight Snack. Check out a teaser for it below.
For more info visit the Won Ton Baby website, James' Morgue Art Films website, and to dig on more stuff from Michael Granberry, check out Red Hatchet Films online.
The feature film stars Debbie Rochon, Suzie Lorraine, Lou Martini, Jr., and Gunnar Hansen.

The feature film Won Ton Baby, directed by James Morgart with Suzi Lorraine, who helped create the characters as well as acts in the film, has an animated short accompanying it on the DVD release called Won Ton Baby in Midnight Snack, directed by Michael Granberry.
Won Ton Baby is a deformed parasitic twin that kills patrons of Madam Won Ton's brothel-turned-Chinese-restaurant. (Madam Won Ton is none other than Debbie Rochon, queen of the comedic madam role if there ever was one).
I mean, Asian jokes + parasitic twins. They had me at 'Asian jokes'.
Morgart gave us the trailer to this animated short film, in which a claymation baby strangles people with an umbilical cord.
Enjoy!
