Sunday July 15th is the last day of Comic-Con 2012, and most of us will be completely worn out looking like Spider-Man in the image above. Chances are he's asleep under that mask. Sunday has always been a cool down day for us, we kind of just try to relax a little bit more and enjoy it. That doesn't mean their isn't anything to see or do though!
We've got a Fringe screening and Q&A, Doctor Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer 20th Anniversary, Sons of Anarchy, the annual Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical screening, and more! I've always wanted to go the Buffy musical sing-a-long, but am usually trying to leave San Diego before it starts.
Just a little reminder, we will be having our annual GeekTyrant meet up this year to meet our readers, which is something we always enjoy doing! That will take place on Wednesday night, and...

Seth Rogen has come a long way from the days of Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared. After Judd Apatow helped turn him into a full-blown movie star with Knocked Up, Rogen continued to build up his resume as a producer and writer until Sony handed him the keys to his first tentpole film with The Green Hornet. While some would question the end result of that project, it certainly hasn't hurt his career. Next year he will take his first stab at directing with Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse, and now Disney has come knocking at his door as well. According to Variety, they have recruited Rogen to produce and possibly star in a new spy comedy called The B Team. The B Team, not to be confused with the Will Ferrell / Mark Wahlberg comedy that was eventually retitled to The Other Guys, is a project that has been...

[1] Seth Rogen is probably most familiar from the R-rated comedies he's starred in, many of them involving Judd Apatow. But he's actually got a plenty of experience with family-friendly credits as well, lending his vocal talents to films like Horton Hears a Who! and the Kung Fu Panda films. Now, he's signed on to produce and possibly star in a new project that'll likely fall in the latter category, a Disney spy comedy called The B Team. More details after the jump. Variety [2] reports that the story revolves around an top agent who gets kidnapped and must depend on his nerdy tech support and research team to save him. Disney's had the project in development since 2008, when it acquired the pitch from writers Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman. Charles Segars is set to produce with Rogen, and Guiley and Schneider's manager to executive produce. The B Team is just the...

Variety is reporting Seth Rogen has signed on to produce The B-Team for Disney. More than likely he will also star. The B-Team, written by Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman, has been gestating at Disney for about three years now. I assume the hope is with Rogen attached the project will pick up some forward momentum and actually get made. I'm guessing they will get a bigger name, maybe with an action background, to play the spy, and Rogen will lead the b-team of the title. The plot of The B-Team follows a top agent who gets captured, and its up to his "B-Team" of researchers and tech people to rescue him. Think Tom Cruise getting captured at the start of Mission: Impossible and Simon Pegg has to take the lead and save him. Actually, that sounds like much better casting. I should call J.J. Abrams and tell him I...

There was a time when The B Team was a cop comedy starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, before a certain A-Team caused a name-switch to The Other Guys. But with The Other Guys now come and gone, and The A-Team a distant, tank-flying memory, The B Team is back, this time in the form of a spy spoof being developed by Seth Rogen. It just goes to show you can't keep a good name down. Or something. This project actually pre-dates those others, and its title was presumably in flux there for a while. Development being as slow as it is though, it's fair game again. The story in this case is about a "top secret-agent" who gets kidnapped and has to be rescued by his back-up gang of researchers and techies, who presumably aren't quite as "top" as he is.The original pitch to the studio was by Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman,...

Seth Rogan has attached himself to a new film project at Disney called The B Team. He will serve as a producer on the action spy comedy and will most likely end up taking a starring role in the movie.
As you can imagine, The B Team is a lower level group of operatives that are not as awesome as The A Team. The film is still in the development stage, but the story focuses on a top secret agent who is kidnapped, leaving his tech support team and researchers to rescue him.
Sounds like there could be some fun elements in the film, but there's not much to go off of right now. According to Variety Disney has been sitting on the project for over three years after they bought the pitch from screenwriters Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman (Chasing Liberty). Although the duo seems odd at first glance, Pineapple Express star Seth Rogen is teaming up with Disney for their latest project. Variety informs us that the actor is joining Disney’s The B Team as a producer, with the possibility of starring in the project as well.
Disney obtained the project back in 2008, after they bought a pitch from Chasing Liberty screenwriters David Schneiderman and Derek Guiley. The script is based on “a top secret agent being kidnapped, leaving his tech support team and researchers to rescue him.”
With little information to go on, I’m not sure if the project is going to be animated or live-action. Judging by Disney’s upcoming releases, I’m just going to assume animated — which is a good move, considering Rogen has voiced several animated characters over the past few years. His fist voice work was on 2007′s Shrek the Third, with...

Seth Rogen is about to accept his own impossible mission.
The "Green Hornet" himself is set to go undercover as he's signed on to produce and possibly star in Disney's new spy comedy, "The B Team," according to Variety.
"The B Team" tells the tale of a kidnapped secret agent whose only hope for rescue lies in his support team of technicians and research assistants -- kind of like if gadgets specialist Q had to rescue James Bond. All other details of the script by Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman are currently classified.
This sounds like the perfect starring vehicle for Rogen, as we're assuming he would be playing one of the tech geeks who suddenly has to be a field agent. Then again, he did pretty well as the Green Hornet, so he could probably play the kidnapped spy, too.
Rogen is actually no stranger to producing, as he's...

‘Disney’ and ‘Seth Rogen’ are three words you probably wouldn’t expect ever to hear in the same sentence, but the movie industry is full of surprises, and if Robert Rodriguez can include Spy Kids and Sin City in his credits, then there’s nothing to stop Seth Rogen from coming on board to produce a Disney film.
Variety are reporting that Rogen, fresh from his turn in the indie comedy 50/50, which has been doing brilliantly in the past few months, is now set to board Disney’s spy comedy The B Team as a producer, with an eye to star in it too.

What is this, a leftover SNL sketch? The family-friendly comedy genre is a lean one and with good reason -- they usually don't work. "I Spy"? "Leonard Part 6"? "Get Smart"? "Spies Like Us"? You see where we're going with this? But Seth Rogen thinks he can figure it out and has set up a new movie over at wholesome Disney studios. Entitled "The B Team" (clever!) the project was a pitch picked up by the studio three years ago, and will now enter development with Rogen set to star. Dreamed up by Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman (the duo behind the Mandy Moore rom-com "Chasing Liberty") the story will center on a secret agent who is kidnapped, forcing the rest of his team to come to the rescue. So imagine if Ethan Hunt was inept and had to be rescued by Simon Pegg. Hilarious? Everything is still in early...

Seth Rogen has plans to produce and potentially star in a spy comedy called The B Team , being developed at Walt Disney Pictures, Variety reports. The plot is said to involve a top-level spy who, after getting kidnapped, has to be rescued by his second-tier support team. The film is based on a 2008 pitch by Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman. At the time, the title was in question due to 20th Century Fox's film adaptation of the television series The A-Team and the Sony project, also titled The B Team , which later became the Adam McKay comedy The Other Guys . Ever busy, Rogen appeared earlier this year in The Green Hornet , Paul , 50/50 , Take This Waltz and Kung Fu Panda 2 . He can next been seen in the comedy My Mother's Curse . First Matt Damon, then Ben Affleck, and now Wayne McClammy is gunning for ... Kip?
McClammy has signed on to direct the revenge comedy "Beat Kip" for Paramount Vantage. A spokesperson for Paramount could not confirm.
"Kip" tells the story of three buddies who travel across the country to confront an Ivy League nemesis who stole one of the guys' girlfriends. Comedy Central is producing.
Vantage, which recently merged into Paramount proper with attendant staff downsizing, optioned Todd Waldman and Rob Kerkovich's original screenplay in March. Waldman and Kerkovich are USC graduates who created the Summer of Tears comedy troupe, which has toured the country since 2004 behind its online shorts.
McClammy is the segment producer on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" who this year directed and co-wrote the popular short video spoofs "I'm Fucking Matt Damon" and "I'm Fucking Ben Affleck." They logged tens of millions of hits and prompted a career surge for McClammy, who also directs episodes of "The Sarah Silverman Program."
McClammy, repped by Paradigm and Rain Management Group, has the comedy spec "Le Car" set up at MGM with co-writer Will Burke. The writer-director also is attached to helm "Cool School," a Fox comedy written by Derek Guiley, David Schneiderman and Mark Perez.
Jay A. Fernandez reported from Los Angeles; Gregg Goldstein reported from New York.
