Only a few days after the announcement that Michael Che would be taking over Cecily Strong's spot on "Weekend Update," NBC has confirmed to Vulture that New York comedian Pete Davidson is the second new cast hire of the summer. Before this, Davidson, who was named one of Variety's 10 Comics to Watch this past July, is best known for appearing on MTV’s Guy Code and Wild ’n Out. At 20 years old (yes, 20), Davidson will be one of the youngest cast members ever, following Anthony Michael Hall (17) and Eddie Murphy (19). Davidson started doing comedy at 16 as a way to help him deal with the loss of his father, who was a firefighter who died on 9/11.There will be no other additions to the cast as of right now, leaving the cast for the premiere as Vanessa Bayer, Beck Bennett, Aidy Bryant, Michael Che, Pete Davidson, Colin...

Many young starlets of the '80s have gone on to become bigger stars in the following decades. Back when teased hair and shoulder pads ruled the tabloids, these budding celebrity friendships were just forming. Some would last entire careers. Others would be as brief as a shared table at an awards ceremony. But chances are it'd be hard to get some of these friendships back together, so let's enjoy the memories of these forgotten '80s friendships.
Charlie Sheen and Betty White in 1987.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Leif Garrett in 1983.
Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon in 1988.
Drew Barrymore and Mr. T in March 1984.

It's coming up on the hectic time of year for many of your favorite horror conventions. With Halloween only a couple of months away, horror fans are getting the itch and are ready to tear up the festival and convention circuits.
One particular fan favorite coming up is HorrorHound Weekend 2012. The event, which is held in Indianapolis, Indiana, spans 3 days from September 7-9.
Some headliners of the convention include Linda Hamilton, Lance Hendriksen, Timothy Balme, Elvira (Cassandra Peterson), Anthony Michael Hall, Michael Biehn and more.

Directed by: Alex Kurtzman
Cast: Chris Pine, Elizabeth Banks, Michael Hall D’Addario, Olivia Wilde, Michelle Pfeiffer
Running Time: 1 hr 55 mins
Rating: PG-13
Release Date: June 29, 2012
Plot: A young slimy salesman (Pine) returns home to California to bury his estranged father. Before he leaves he’s given a shaving kit with $150,000 inside it, along with instructions for the money to be delivered to the nephew (D’Addario), and sister played by Banks, he never knew existed.
Who’S It For?: This wannabe feel-good blockbuster is made for the same mainstream crowds that have seen co-writer/director Alex Kurtzman’s previous stories, which include Star Trek, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Cowboys and Aliens.
Expectations: Though I’ve seen plenty from both lead actor Chris Pine and writer/director Alex Kurtzman, all expectations seemed to change once I caught wind that this was actually a drama.

Fare such as Smallville's 'Labyrinth' episode and pretty much anything in either the UK or Us version of Life On Mars - even 'Life Is A Rock', the outrageous 'space finale' of ABC's 2008 remake of the original UK BBC series - is not admissable here. We knew that Smallville would continue after Labyrinth's attempts to persuade Clark that his Kryptonian heritage was invented, and since we knew ABC's Life On Mars was heading for the trash anyway, the final episode had no parameters left to respect. Also excluded are episodes of anthologies such as The Twilight Zone, which set out on a weekly basis to mess with our minds. And sorry, Lost definitely also falls into that category.
Here, instead, are the season episodes which 'got us' fair and square without committing canonical suicide...
This is chock-full of spoilers, so be warned...
