Charismatic Cardboard & Xander CagexXx: Return of Xander Cage is brings the series back to its B-movie roots.
After years of playing video games at friends’ houses, my family got a GameCube in 2002. Finally I could play all the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 that my nine year-old heart desired, though I honestly played way more Pro Skater 4. Too uncoordinated (and too afraid) to skateboard, I had a Razor Scooter. The time I didn’t spend outside was split between games, television, and movies. I was the target audience for xXx.
Thirteen years and a little maturity later, I am stoked for xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

So Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 finally came out, and lo and behold, it’s a total trainwreck. Not even in an old-school “Oh, if you hit this jump just right, you can get 5x more air'” kind of way, but more in a “Just how in the name of a jet ski-riding Jesus did it get out the door?!”-type deal.
Coming in a year that – until this point – was far stronger overall than 2014’s disastrously buggy output (Assassin’s Creed: Unity’s faceless Arno being a particular highlight), Thps 5 was meant to be one glorious trip back to your childhood memories, a game that would embellish and reinforce a series that for a time, actually became a total cultural revolution.
A perfected control scheme that just felt instantly rewarding, the legendary soundtrack – you could even unlock everyone from a secret Matt Hoffman bike level to Spider-Man in the sequel.

Gross-out japester Johnny Knoxville has gone on to maturer things as a bona fide actor but this gives you the chance to see him and his band of bad-taste buddies performing their dodgy stunts on the big screen. The boys all suffered for their art - Knoxville broke his arm, Matt Hoffman smashed his wrist and Steve-o landed an infection from a contaminated river.

Nass Festival is one of the UK’s biggest and one of Europes finest extreme sports and music festivals. Along with Boardmasters and Freeze festival, Nass is included in the holy trinity of Relentless festivals, but what does that mean to those unexperienced?
As you could have guessed, Nass festival plays host to world famous action sports pros and music artists at the top of their game, year in, year out at Bath and West Showground in Somerset. Across the platform of Relentless festivals you can more or less expect similar atmosphere, artists and degree of sports over a three day period to soak up the sun and even gets your hands dirty at various public sessions of open indoor and outdoor skate/bmx parks when they are not in use for competitions. Previous athletes include Tony Hawk and Matt Hoffman, so keep your eyes peeled if you have some...

There have been plenty of quality biographical extreme sports docs released in the last couple years, with Jeff Tremaine’s profile of BMX godfather Matt Hoffman, The Birth of Big Air, Stacy Peralta’s loving skate team autobio, Bones Brigade, and even Tristan Patterson’s beautifully unconventional debut, Dragonslayer, but the more the merrier as far as we’re concerned. Jacob Rosenberg’s directorial debut, Waiting For Lightning, stylishly outlines the life of boundary pushing skateboard legend Danny Way by combining elements of retrospective bits with the capping of a career in Way’s attempt to jump the Great Wall of China. The cross cut story is not a complete success, but Way, like many of the skate icons who vet his story, is an enigmatic character of practiced skill and devout will, making for a compelling film filled with fledgling career footage and plenty of big air delirium.

One of the most love-to-love/love-to-hate couples of reality TV tied the knot over the weekend in a lavish rooftop ceremony in Los Angeles. Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas, who met as contestants during "Big Brother 12" in 2010 (and went on to compete again on Bb 13 and then on "The Amazing Race"), were married Saturday (Sept. 8).
Reilly arrived via helicopter at the top of the At&T Center in downtown Los Angeles in front of 130 guests, which included "Big Brother 13" contestants (and couple) Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd. The bride wore a floor-length Missoni gown and the ceremony was presided over by "Big Brother 12" contestant Matt Hoffman.
Rachel tweets of the wedding, "So Excited To Be The New Mrs. Villegas!!! Yaaay and the wedding was So Amazing @davidTutera had So Many surprises for us It Was Redic! @WEtv."

Saw 3D The Final Chapter (Blu-Ray)Lionsgate Home Entertainment2010/90 mins/UnratedList Price $39.99 – Now AvailableThe Saw franchise is actually a guilty pleasure for me, I like these films. Strange, since the first time I saw the original, it didn't click with me. I grew tired of its many subplots and flashbacks plus trying to guess exactly who the Jigsaw killer was. Once his identity was revealed, it gave the brilliant Tobin Bell the opportunity to create one of the most iconic villains in the horror genre. Except when you look at it from a certain point of view, Jigsaw isn't really a villain. He's not a serial killer either, but a scientist and philosopher, hoping to give people a new appreciation for their lives through trials by fire. At least that's how he looks at it. But you have to hand it to Jigsaw. Those few who survive his deadly traps...

Well, now it’s time to tell us who you think should be crowned the most under-appreciated reality personality of 2010. As So You Think You Can Dance’s resident recapper, it’s tough for me to avoid nominating the fantastic Cat Deeley, whose cheery demeanor and unabashed love for the contestants has given us, well, Cat Deeley chills season after season. Jake’s Takes: ‘Jackass 3D’ interviews with Johnny Knoxville, Steve-o, Wee Man, Bam Margera and more!
Jackass 3D
Directed by: Jeff Tremaine
Cast: Johnny Knoxville, Ryan Dunn, Preston Lacy, Spike Jonze, Matt Hoffman, Chris Pontius, Steve-o, Bam Margera
Running Time: 1 hr 30 mins
Rating: R
Release Date: October 15, 2010

Plot: A collection of outrageous stunts as performed by the crew from the former MTV show “Jackass.”
Jake’s Take on his interview with Johnny Knoxville and the gang
When it comes to doing junkets and airing them on your local news stations — mine being Fox 26 in Houston, Texas — there are certain no-brainers when it comes to what is allowed content-wise and what is not. Obviously, when you interview the guys from Jackass, you’re going to get more of the latter than the former. In fact, when airing these pieces, I made plenty of jokes about how censored the interviews had to be.
But, when the package ended and I was wrapping my segment,...

Who’S It For? Even if you’re familiar with the Jackass ethos, the chances are still very high that at least a couple of scenes will gross you out, or even prove to be unbearable.
Expectations: It’s been almost five years since the fittingly titled Jackass: Number Two. I was prepared for more gross-outs and shocks, but mostly more laughs. I had hoped that the time away would be evident to more clever, immediately funny stunt segments.
Scorecard (0-10)
Talking: Contrary to their macho, I-will-do-anything mentality, these guys are not robots.

I am going to start out by saying that I almost threw up twice watching this. It Was Awesome!
The Jackass crew is back in their third movie… and this time, all of their vulgarity is captured in 3D. Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-o, Wee Man, Ryan Dunn, Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy, Dave England, and Ehren McGheyhey are all ready to rock… along with guest appearances from Spike Jones, Matt Hoffman, and Seann William Scott ( Who looks terrible, btw. )
The 3D in this film is Fantastic. Some scenes look like they were simply converted into 3D, so they aren’t that great, while others are Insane! Special cameras were made for their stunts that capture their super fast hits in a high definition. This way, when they slow them down you can see everything! You can see the skin ripple with every hit, and some things that just shouldn’t be seen in 3D,...

The "Big Brother 12" premiere is almost here, hamster fans! So Zap2it is putting on our prognosticating hat and make some good old-fashioned predictions based on our meet-and-greet with contestants. We did pretty well for "Dancing With the Stars," so maybe we can be Carnac the Great for "Big Brother" too.
Contestant: Monet Stunson
Odds: 14 to 1
Monet seems young, quiet and shy, like she won't be up for having any fun in the house and will also seem to lack personality. We think she'll have a hard time standing out and making quick friends -- without an alliance, she's toast.
Contestant: Kathy Hillis
Odds: 13 to 1
Kathy seems like a sweet lady but she is the oldest person in the house and her accent is a tad grating. We can see her not fitting in (especially since if Andrew lies like he says he's going to and pretends to be 34) and getting an early boot.

Are ready for a new season of Big Brother?
It premieres tonight, and we've already introduced fans to a pair of contestants: Kathy Hillis and Matt Hoffman. Up next, in our season 12 profiling: Annie Whittington.
This 27-year old is a bartender from Tampa, Florida. In a recent interview, she gushed:
"I wanted to be on Big Brother, it's just been a life-long dream of mine. It's just a game that I find really, really interesting... the social experiemnt of it... I think it just looks like a ton of fun."
While Whittington is clearly beautiful, she tells Zap2It that she is Not a "girlie-girl" and is actually afraid she'll take issue with women "who are really obsessed with their outer appearance."
As for her house strategy?
"Personally, when I make a plan and it doesn't follow through the way that I want it to, I get frustrated... so instead...

The "Big Brother 12" premiere is right around the corner, so Zap2it thought we should take a minute to discuss what is really important for everyone's favorite summertime guilty pleasure -- showmances.
"Big Brother" is arguably the best breeding ground for showmances. And we don't mean actual romances, either -- we mean stuck-in-a-house-what-else-is-there-to-do-we're-both-pretty-let's-hook-up showmances. Dr. Will Kirby had a couple memorable flirtations, his cohort Mike "Boogie" Malin infamously used one showmance and (ridiculously) proposed to another. It seems like every summer there is at least one couple getting snuggly in the "Bb" house.
So which "Big Brother 12" house guests are ripe for the showmancing this summer?
Based on our pre-show interviews with the contestants, Zap2it can tell you that Matt Hoffman is married, Britney Haynes is engaged and Annie Whittington is dating someone. Just so we were clear, they also assured us they would not be participating in any showmances this season.

A 32-year old Web designer from Chicago, Hoffman has been applying for the show since its second season. Finally successful, he has a message from his experience: "Kids, follow your dreams!"
Talking to Zap2It, he added of Big Brother: "It's just a passion of mine... this is it, this is the show that I wanted to be on."
As for Matt's strategy, he says he'll "make sure to have a one-on-one or a small group conversation with every single person in that house" within the first 24 hours.

Meet Matt Hoffman, a web designer from Chicago who is one of the newest hamsters on "Big Brother 12." He tells Zap2it about how "Big Brother" has always been a goal of his (though he wouldn't skip his wedding for it!) and what his strategy will be in the house. Also -- there is some not-suitable-for-children language, so be warned.
Matt has been applying for "Big Brother" since Season 2 and he finally now is going to be a part of the show. "So kids, follow your dreams!" he laughs. "It's just a passion of mine ... this is it, this is the show that I wanted to be on."

Bmx legend Mat Hoffman is the subject of the Espn‘s new 30 for 30 documentary, The Birth Of Big Air. It premiered last week at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City to a huge crowd, and why not, the film is great!
It’s about the original Bmx superstar Hoffman, his rise to cult stardom and how he kept the sport alive during its dog days.
While I was at Tribeca, I sat down and talked with the director Jeff Tremaine, producer Johnny Knoxville and Matt Hoffman himself.
Now, you’re probably thinking. Why is he interviewing people about a documentary? You’re right and I usually don’t do that… but I loved the film, Matt Hoffman deserves his time in the spotlight… and I wanted to meet Johnny Knoxville. So there.
