Anya Chalotra of The Witcher, Chloe Cherry of Euphoria, and Ralph Ineson of The Witch star in the dark comedy Two Neighbors, which was able to secure a SAG interim agreement to film while the actors strike was still going on and wrapped production back in September. Although the story is set in New York, filming took place in the UK.
Marking the feature directorial debut of “multi-disciplinary artist” Ondine Viñao, who has exhibited video projects in the US and abroad, Two Neighbors was inspired by Aesop’s fable Avaricious and Envious. This take on the story shows what happens when Becky (Chalotra), an ambitious but struggling writer, is overcome by envy and spite when she meets Stacy (Cherry), a beautiful but insatiable socialite, at a lavish party hosted by Stacy’s father at their country estate. The evening descends slowly into chaos, and the girls’ lives are forever transformed...

The Sonis a drama movie written and directed by Florian Zeller, based on his own play.. Starring Hugh Jackman and Laura Dern.
Excellent acting in an “actor’s film”.
Storyline
A successful attorney, with a new wife and a baby, accepts taking care of his adolescent son from a previous marriage after his ex wife tells him she is worried about the boy´s random behavior.
Movie Review El Hijo (2022)
Excellent, well directed, good screenplay… one really had to have a bad day, a truly bad day to want to face two hours of skin deep feelings with the emotional problems of a son, worried parents and a drama that is great for actors to act in, but you will be wanting to be (truly) wanting to watch this.
Around here we usually say that we judge a movie, not the subject and we try to focus on the artistic virtues of the art,...

The original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a movie that was based on the build-up of tension, until it became unbearable for the audience, with an explosion of violence that many don’t forget. Made in 1974, it has had sequels, been remade in many forms through the years and Netflix are the latest to give an attempt to revamp the series with a follow up to the original. The question is, does it live up to the original?

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise is an odd one. There’s about four different timelines despite not that many movies, and although the quality has actually been good (for the most part), none have really got close to the sheer sense of terror that the first movie delivered. As always though, I was very much excited to see the latest movie.
This one is a direct sequel to the original movie and not linked to any other sequels that came before it. A new timeline altogether set in present-day almost fifty years after the original as Leatherface is once again disrupted by a new group of young friends and is soon getting to...

"50 years I've been waiting for this night... just to see him again." Netflix has fired up the gnarly official trailer for their new Texas Chain Saw Massacre film. It's officially titled Texas Chainsaw Massacre and will be streaming on Netflix starting this February. After nearly 50 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends that accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town. Much like last year's Ghostbusters, this skips everything else and it plays as a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper's original 1974 Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Leatherface only gets angry when people come home. This sequel stars Elsie Fisher, Sarah Yarkin, Mark Burnham, Moe Dunford, Olwen Fouéré, Alice Krige, Jacob Latimore, Nell Hudson, Jessica Allain, Sam Douglas, William Hope, Jolyon Coy. Damn this looks brutal! The bus scene is going to be insane. Lots of blood and gore in here - watch out.

Screen adaptations of Neil Gaiman’s celebrated graphic novels have been teased since the 90s, with various talent attached but none as yet managing to materialize in physical form. While a TV series for Netflix is in pre-production with Wonder Woman writer Allan Heinberg showrunning and David Goyer and Gaiman exec producing, an audio book has arrived from Audible boasting super-high production values and a starry cast. More like a radio play than a straight up reading of the text, this adaptation works surprisingly well and stays very faithful to the books, adding in physical descriptions of characters where necessary.
The narrator for Audible’s The Sandman is Gaiman himself, describing his creations so listeners can imagine their own panels – it means the series works as well for people who have never read the graphic novels and conjure their own visions of The Endless, as people who know the visuals...

We got a taster of Audible’s new drama, Alien: River Of Pain. Here’s the new trailer and what we thought...
On a grey afternoon in Greenwich, I trundled through a park and struggled up an incline to reach London’s Royal Observatory. I was lured into this physical exertion by the promise of canapés, drinks and sneak peek at Alien: River Of Pain, a new Audible drama that will bridge the gap between Ridley Scott’s Alien and James Cameron’s Aliens.
After taking a second to catch my breath and immortalise the iconic London skyline with a half-arsed smartphone photo, I said my awkward hellos, stashed my belongings in a cloakroom and made my way into the event. As promised, bubbly was flowing and tiny nibbles were being circulated.
Staff carried snacks atop rectangular glass cases, which contained little black rocks. Space-y looking rocks.

While Bill Paxton doesn't think his performance in Aliens is anything to celebrate, for the rest of us Hudson is one of the most memorable characters in James Cameron's 1986 sequel thanks to Paxton's deliriously freaked-out line readings, including the most famous of all: "Game over, man! Game over!" First, I should mention that both producer Gale Anne Hurd and Cameron defended Paxton against his own self-recriminations during the panel, with Cameron hitting the nail on the head when it came to defining Paxton's crucial role in the film: "It's the measure of the tension of the film on the audience, and you give them the ability to laugh. And it releases that tension so it can build up again." Cameron is right; and it's a testament to Paxton that he, not his writer/director, came up with the character's most famous line. Here's how the actor recounted it for...

The mouths of gamers and Alien fans everywhere were left sour after the rather lacklustre Aliens: Colonial Marines so when a new game was announced with Sega yet again behind the curtain, some folks started to panic yet another disaster was around the corner.
Sega, with developer Creative Assembly, sought to go back to the original 1979 film and recreate that sense of horror and dread in an original storyline that would take place 15 years after the events of that film and follow Amanda Ripley, Ellen’s daughter, as she too comes into contact with the dreaded creature.
The end result for Alien: Isolation is probably one of the finest survival horror experiences in gaming I’ve had in years, as it’s relentlessly tense, rarely gives you a moment of peace and is often challenging.

A little over seven years after the release of Ridley Scott’s Alien arrived in theaters, James Cameron brought out the big guns (literally) with his action-oriented sequel Aliens, which dominated over the summer of 1986 as it held the number one spot on the box office charts for four weeks straight.
Starring Sigourney Weaver, Michael Biehn, Paul Reiser, Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, Carrie Henn, Jenette Goldstein, Mark Rolston, and William Hope, Aliens follows Ellen Ripley, the sole (human) survivor of the events of Scott’s original film, and a rag-tag crew of Colonial Marines back to the planet Lv-426 where Ripley and her crew first encountered the deadly alien species after a terraforming colony located there mysteriously goes dark.
The complete antithesis of Scott’s Alien, Cameron’s sequel was a raucous action/sci-fi mash-up that took everything that made the original movie so great and then kicked it up...

Walk to Remember: Schmidt’s Debut Sincere and Gawky
Director Mark Schmidt attempts to recount an obscure chronicle of WWII heroism to generally awkward effect, though, despite a multitude of distracting and poorly manufactured instances of laughable manipulation, manages to ratchet up sufficient tension to hold our attention. Using a wild variety of Canadian, American, and UK actors, Schmidt’s got a hodgepodge of English speakers trying their best mildly accented Hungarian, often to dubious effect, while a series of poorly edited sequences belies its rather strained budget. A daunting amount of better made films recounting the period flounces the necessity of Schmidt’s picture, even as Walking with the Enemy does depict an account well worth honoring, but it’s a film that will only be cannibalized by the memory of stronger features, bringing to mind, among other title, the similar feel of the 2012 Macedonian film, The Third Half.

"I will not be intimidated." Liberty has debuted two new trailers for the indie WWII drama Walking with the Enemy, directed by Mark Schmidt, starring an international cast including Sir Ben Kingsley looking like a fine chap, all right, plus Jonas Armstrong (Book of Blood, Edge of Tomorrow), Hannah Tointon (The Children, The Body, The Lost Future), Burn Gorman (Pacific Rim, The Dark Knight Rises), Mark Wells and William Hope (Captain America, Dark Shadows). The film is set mostly in Hungary, and looks surprisingly powerful and epic, despite the indie feeling to it. Two new trailers join the original trailer a few months ago. This looks like it might be worth seeing, but it doesn't have many good reviews yet. Take a look. You already know what you're in for if you sit down to watch a movie called, simply enough, Spiders. (Doubly so if the film happens to be also known as Spiders 3D.) You're going to get a plot that's been old hat since about 1958, a bunch of airy narrative wheel-spinning that exists mainly to stretch a few crazy spider sequences into a feature-length film, and (obviously) a bunch of spiders running amok and attaching themselves to all sorts of unfortunate people. In the case of Tibor Takacs' half-draggy and half enjoyably stupid Spiders 3D, you'll get all of that and more. Or less, depending on how you approach goofy monster movies about gigantic mutated spiders.
There's only so much charity one can afford to such a plainly low-shooting piece of B-movie silliness, but at its best moments Spiders (3D) does manage to evoke the mutated creatures flicks of the '50s and '60s.

Although I hate spiders with an undying passion, I’m strangely drawn to monster movies which feature the creatures in all their disturbing glory. That said, “The Gate” director Tibor Takac’s “Spiders 3D” might be too much for me to handle. Even if the spiders look terrible, seeing something with eight legs flying towards my face would be too horrifying for words. To get people talking about this three-dimensional nightmare, a full trailer and a brand new poster have been unleashed upon the interwebs. Even that word kind of creeps me out. Here’s what the film is all about: Following a crash of an old Soviet space station in New York City’s subway tunnel, a new species of poisonous spiders is discovered. Inadvertently the spiders mutate to gigantic proportions and wreak havoc on the entire city. “Spiders 3D,” which stars William Hope, Patrick Muldoon, Jon Mack, and Christa Campbell,...
